I wonder if there is a specific method of smoking both budder and bubble hash! I mean I've smoked all the hash and cannabis in a pipe and it worked fine, the only one I know that is generally done otherwise is hash oil on cigarettes/joints.

Hot knives is nice toothpick, quarter, lighter & tube(glass is best) i find much more efficient. Bonging with some bud is a great practice as well.

get a titanium spoon for the oil and heat it up red hot and drop the oil onto it and have a straw ready- look into what is known as the Kut-pipe, it is the ultimate way to smoke oil check out tokecity.com
for bubble, just put it in the screen but if you smokin straight bubble i highly recommend getting the beeline hemp wicks or something (i have seen diff brands recently)

For best results, smear a line of oil on the inside of the paper right before you roll up, then put in the tobacco and twist.
It'll smoke better than just smearing oil on the outside of the joint/cigarette after you're done rolling.

I am afraid of wasting it in a pipe. At the moment I don't have a vaporizer and I know that would be ideal for something like bubble or budder. As well I cannot afford to spend $100 per gram of budder or bubble and only get a hit or something!
What put me off from bubble hash was an article from cannabis culture which was saying that its not effective (it's a waste of money) unless you have a lot of it because it either bubbles or catches fire when you light it. They go on to say that it doesn't ignite and stay lit like marijuana or less pure hash does.
