Opioids Buvidal taper before surgery

Hey all. I’m currently on Buvidal 128mg monthly, but getting it every 3 weeks. So a bloody high dose. I’ve also got a major major lower back injury that even the bupe is doing NOTHING for pain wise. I need major spinal surgery and can access it as soon as I want really but I was wondering if any of you guys would know how quickly I could realistically taper before surgery and how low I’d have to go?

Only asking here because I don’t have my next shot with my GP for a week and a bit and I’m keen for any info possible?

Additionally, post op, would I be straight back onto my current buvidal dose?
