Hi All - not sure of this questions is in the right place or even a valid question so please move/close if it doesn't comply!
I have been on 8mg bupe a day for a while now and staying there for the present future. I have started suffering from Hypertension the past year like 190/120 most time I take my blood pressure and the docs are worried as they cant get it down, Tried Ramipril, Losartan, Amlodipine, Lercanidipine (I had a serious reaction to the last 2 apparently I have a allergy to calcium channel blockers) and Propranolol, Propranolol 30mg 4 x a day and 150mg of Losartan started to work but as I have asthma started to get really wheezy due to the propranolol so they stopped that, I asked for a Beta 1 blocker which wont effect my asthma but they refused. Anyway they have put me on 2.5mg of Indapamide (still taking the losartan) to see if that works. I know its a diuretic but I've read you shouldn't take it with Bupe as Bupe will stop it from working, I told my doc this and he said its nonsense. Is this combo safe/ok ?
Hopefully it is and I wont get the bad side effects with that I got with the CCB's. today its 177/114. If this don't work they are gonna try an Alpha blocker........ Thanks!
