So I've been wanting to try I.V Zolpidem for quite a while. The stuff used to be virtually everywhere, all my friends were prescribed it, and I even had a script once, from an addictions specialist at that! But lately, for some reason or another, I had been unable to come across the strange little things, that all changed tonight though!
I found 5mg ambien tablets in the bathroom of this party I was at. I decided that I needed these more than the host, but was respectful, so I only stole one 5 mg pill. I know the way I am with benzo's and zolpidem (orally), so I figured it would be best for my first I.V experience to only be able to do 5 mg.
Anyway, when I got home, I covered the pill in water and rubbed off the wax coating, which came off surprisingly easy. Next, I crushed it in a folded piece of paper, and through it in the cooker. 23 mg/ml is the solubility of zolpidem, so I squirted in 30 units of water, and after a little work, managed to draw back around 25. I then decided to through a little bit of suboxone, roughly .75 mg into the cooker, and disolved it in the zolpidem solution. I now had 25 units of an orangey pink solution, not very pretty looking, but I didn't have a micron filter, and decided that hopefully this one time wouldn't do any damage.
I slided the syringe into the vein along the side of my bicep, registered, and pushed in half the solution, registered again, and injected the remaining units. I had heard that zolpidem can make you very disoriented, so I immediately capped my syringe and put it in my pocket, so I knew I wouldn't leave it out. I almost immediately felt the ambien hit me. I was expecting a rush with lots of visual/audio distortion, but didn't get anything of the sort, I just felt a very sudden very STRONG ambien high and an increase in my heart rate. As for the suboxone, it seemed as if the effects of the ambien were just too dominant to really notice how the suboxone was making me feel.
After a few minutes of sitting on my couch and staring into empty space, I went outside to smoke a cig. I sat there watching the wind blow the trees for a long time, until my attention drifted to the flowers my mother planted outside my house. I felt a strong affection for them, like I do towards my little cat. I for some reason touched one with the intention of pulling it out, but then stopped, feeling some guilt. I thought about the flowers for a while more, and then went back inside, to watch some shows on my computer.
This is when I started to really feel the body high of the ambien. I felt a sensation that seemed to vibrate through my legs, especially my ankles and calfs, and up my neck. It's a very relaxing feeling, but it is not sedating at all, and if anything it is stimulating.
This pretty much brings us to the present. I'm about to go out and have a cigarette. I feel very nice and mellow. If I want, I could easily fall asleep in a second, but I plan on staying up a little longer to enjoy the end of the high.
In conclusion, I just want to say, this being a harm reduction site and all, what I did was not safe, and the worst case scenario would most definately outweigh the best case scenario (getting high). However, I was willing to take the risk, as I have been I.V'ing for a few years now, and have a good technique, though I don't think this would be the kind of thing I would indulge in more than once in a blue moon. It's an interesting high, but in the end, I'd much rather just shoot some coke or dope .
