Alright everyone, been going through some confusing happenings lately. I switched from poppies to bupe, which ive done before, and got no PWDs. The following has been going on for 4 days: take bupe dosage, feel fine, except for about ten times a day i get spells of withdrawal feelings: sweats, unhappy bowls, anxiety. What gives? Could it be the thebaine, noscapine, or papaverine? I cant see how.

Any clues? Ive even upped the bupe, same crap. This sucks.

Well this is gonna cause a lotta speculation but... I feel like it could be a variety of things. Could be dips and peaks in blood conc of the bupe, if you are not fully saturating yourself. Or it could be the variety of alkaloids in ppt and you are withdrawing from various ones. Honestly it's hard to say without more info. Just know it will go away eventually if you pull through it

how much bup are you taking? how long after doing pods did you take your sub? have you been taking the same dose every day, or taking random doses? what ROA are you utilizing to take your suboxone?

bup should definitely "work," there is no way it wouldnt, that wouldnt be logical. maybe you are takin to much sub, which i think is probably why you feel that way. try to stay between 1-2mgs a day, this dose will give you the best effect definitely. by taking a low dose,, there wont be enough bup to occupy all your receptors leaving some unoccupied, bup will metabolize through 3A4 which is part of the cytochrome 450 family, enzymes apart of this class consist of 75% of all the enzymes in the liver. out of 75%, 3A4 is more abundant making up around 40% of the 450 family.

oh yah, i forgot to say, norbup is a full agonist at mu receptors, and has some affinity for other opiate receptors. bup is metabolized to norbup through 3A4, and since this enzyme is so prominent, a decent amount of bup will be metabolized to norbuprenorphine. in concluson, if you took a low dose leeaving unagonized receptors, norbup will have a good chance at binding with those receptor sights resulting n a feeling that is more "Agonistic," cleaner, feels better ( a little more euphoric). so the best effects come from taking 1-2mgs, some people say 2mg is the limit, some say 1, some say 4. so just stay between .5-3mgs.

if you took a high dose though, you will get a more antagonistic effect from mainly bup occupying most if not all receptors. bup beats norbup at binding affinity (Strength) . bup will inihibit norbup to bind because of the extremely powerful binding affinity bup has at mu\

i found some days i get extremely nauseous and feel like shit. most of the time this happens when i take a day or two off from bup. usually im pretty tolerant, but the naloxone and the bup definitely cause nausea. and high doses most likely cause anxiety

I know that when I was started on suboxone years ago the doctor gave me 2mg every couple hours for like 8 hours, until I felt stabilized and well. My guess, like others, is that you're not saturated enough. You may have to do the thing where you take 2mg or so every couple hours until you feel well. At that point your receptors will be "saturated." From there on out you could probably use smaller doses (smaller than the amount that saturated you), such as 4mg (if 8 was the stabilizer). Bupe has a long ass half life, and you'd be surprised how well 4mg can hold people.

Have you only been on four days? Because it takes like 4 to 5 days to get fully stable on it. I went from pods to sub no problem, taking 4mg twice a day. Although, sometimes in the mornings before my dose I feel minor wd, but it's not that big of a deal. Hope you figure it out.

Bupe should make your wd's go away, given you take the correct amount and redose at 12-24hr intervals.

Really when you switch like that (agonist/antagonist) you are bound to have wd symptoms creeping around. The pods have so many different alkaloids that the bupe just doesn't have the profile to cover.
