Is this ok? I understand that the reverse is not advisable, at least to the extent that the bupe often makes the alcohol unenjoyable. I'm a bit loose. But I need to know whether taking bupe, after alcohol, would be ok.

You should be fine. It might make you nauseous, but as long as you're not too intoxicated on ethanol, I'm sure the combination will be reasonably safe, and there shouldn't be many side effects.
For myself personally, I have stopped using ethanol at all, because I won't "feel" the buprenorphine after I have had any ethanol at all, if that makes any sense. The ethanol kind of masks the euphoria from buprenorphine IME.

^that particular combo used to make me super sick. even one or two beer would make me want to puke if i mixed it with bupe. i was on sub maintenance and it pretty much made me stop drinking bc it would make me feel like shit.
you should be fine, just dont over do it. and like said above, the alcohol might negate the euphoric effect you would get from the bupe. that is assuming you dont have tolerance, most ppl who use opiates dont like bupe bc it isnt a full agonist.
