Brutal Murders & Shootings. Above the Law?

Brazilian man brutally murdered in Sydney after stealing 2 packets of biscuits from a convenient store. Was he armed and dangerous?

This wouldn't happen if police were still allowed to give perps a good beat down once they were tackled to the ground and they continued to resist. I'd take a beating over a bullet any day.

how so?

eye for an eye?

how about 14 taser discharges?

Blind man tasered and assaulted by police. Are police over equipped with dangerous weapons? What consequences do police receive for breaking their own laws, are they reprimanded or is it usually swept under the rug and covered up...put down to police having a stressful job?

Assistant police commissioners son caught on camera assaulting member of public. Was he reprimanded or is he still terrorising our streets?

The police are more than able to give anyone they want a "GOOD BEAT DOWN", nothing ever changed in that regard because it happens every day...but now it's much worse because they'l instruct DOCS workers to take your kids if you get on the wrong side of them...

but no that couldn't be true...not in Australia! THAT'S THE PROBLEM NO ONE WANTS TO KNOW

edit: sorry wrong link

I haven't looked at the links in the OP but that is 3 cases out of exactly how many in a year? Would be good to see some proportions.

I'd like to suggest that people require a licence to reproduce. How can we need a licence to do absolutely everything in this country except for the one thing that is of most consequence to every single person?

I would say just because we need a licence to drive a car does not mean we need that level of government control over us...do you realise that powerful government are not something to aspire to?

Why would you want the gov to be able to tell you what you can do with such an important part of life? what good do you think could come of that? and what kind of criteria would describe a good parent, worthy of a parent license.

The thing that gets me is that you might just be trolling me and not quite serious but there's plenty of people who will say that kind of thing and mean it, it must me one of the most ignorant damaging things I could think of perpetrating against a society because it would strike a blow deep into things so fundamental to our psychological health/strength. I shudder to think of some centrelink c*$t putting a young couple through some kind of written exam and "medical" and what ever other tests that some committee panel of low-lives have deemed proper ways of categorising parental candidates.

That's why I like you sonny Jim; posts like that.
Yes, the world is FULL of messed up people.
Brutal cops, neglectful/abusive parents, violent malcontents.
But that, I'm afraid, is the world we live in.
No bureaucracy is going to stop evolved apes acting like...apes.
