Book fell in piss

A few months ago during which time i was still using heroin regularly i went for a smoke in the toilets of a shopping centre. I had a book with me (Ubik by Philip K Dick) which I placed on top of the toilet roll. Anyway short story long it fell onto the ground and absorbed quite a bit of piss (not my own) into its cover.

anway not wanting to lose the book i put it into a plastic bag and its been there ever since. its dry now but as you can understand im still a bit hesitant about picking it up and removing it from quarrantine. Am I being paranoid? What would you do? Perhaps soak it in some disinfectant? Its more of a mental reluctance than fear of germs.

That book should've been binned the day you dropped it lol. Filling your nostrils with the reek of public urinal piss each time you turn a page will do nothing to enhance the enjoyable experience that reading should be.

Yeah it happens You can also look around online to see if you can order another copy of the book really cheap. I get most of my books through the internet and usually used, and often the shipping costs more than the actual item (but still extremely inexpensive.) I also wouldn't bother taking the book out of the bag, and just throw it out at this point. Plus if you put it in the bag when it was damp and it's been there for a while, who knows if mold or some other bacteria has already begun to fester as well (I lost a pair of expensive sneakers this way.)

I have a couple questions regarding this:

1. Why was there piss all over the floor of a shopping center bathroom?
2. Why would you continue to use that bathroom after seeing all that piss on the floor?
3. Why didn't you throw away the book right away?

I'm just taking the piss but seriously this is one of the weirdest posts ever.

lol. ive dropped my wallet down a toilet full of piss before. dried the money out, spent it, theres £60 worth of my piss soaked money in circulation. lovely
