Hey guys,
5 days ago I woke up with what I thought was a pimple on the back of my upper calf. I squeezed it and wasnt entirely successful..it was slightly bothering me for the entire day but nothing too bad.
The next day it was annoying me a bit more and had become a little more swollen. It stayed like this for a few days before I noticed another similar one on the same leg just further up my thigh, this one hasnt been too aggravated and has remained the same size..

So yesterday the original boil started affecting my ability to walk properly and was really annoying me so i squeezed it a few times...getting quite a bit of gross pus out of it.
Despite getting pus out it didnt help the pain or reduce the hardness around the area. Overnight I wrapped it up with some crushed garlic. Ive woken up to have the entire area very hard/sore/swollen...

I saw a doctor yesterday before the swelling came up and he suggested it was probably staph infection and prescribed me anti biotics. I am really against taking anti biotics due to the side affects and such I didnt get them yet.
But at this point I am thinking I may have to..unless anyone can suggest a home remedy that has worked for them in the past?

So far ive been using turmeric/black pepper/coconnut oil - (really really bad tasting!!) without much affect...

Thanks for the response.

I went hardcore with the tumeric concoction and also used graprefuit seed extract and tea tree oil topically.
However this was not enough and my leg got worse and actually got really swollen...to the point where I had no choice but to fill the script. Went back to the doctor today (24 hrs after starting anti biotics) and he gave me a booster injection of penicillan because he was concerned at how swollen it was. He said if it gets worse to go to hospital for IV anti biotics...
That was this morning..and now about 10 hrs later it hasnt got any worse..so Im continuing with the anti biotics and natural remedies and praying it will be enough to avoid a hospital visit.

I guess the big takeaway from this is that I should have acted FAST. If I had have applied the natural remedies as soon as I noticed some issues, then they probably would have been sufficient...but I let it get too out of hand (thinking that I was healthy enough for it to just go away) and now its prevented me from working for 3 days and has compromised my internal flora health due to antibiotics!

Just take some probiotics after you are finished with your antibiotics, and you should be fine.
The trick is to hit the friendly bacteria hard within a short time after finishing your script, and keep it up for at least several days.
You will control the re-growth so that good bacteria will take over right away.
Let us know how it works out!

Well turns out the high dose anti-biotics caused an allergic reaction in me. Initially this began (in what I thought was unrelated) via a sneezing and shortness of breath, which later moved into a whole body itchy rash, sore feet/joints, and a swollen lip.

Doctor changed my anti-biotic however at this stage I still have the rash...

On the plus side the leg is far better, I can walk ALOT better and the most of the pain is coming from taking off the bandaids :P

Wow. This is something I wanted to post about earlier tonight. See I get these often and it happens from shaving I believe. I get the boils and they hurt like hell, sometimes I cannot see them because they're in a bad spot. I had squeezed one yesterday and usually once the shit comes out, it goes away. But a couple hours ago it felt really swollen and painful. Tried squeezing again- big mistake. I applied the proactive acne medicine and hoping it takes it away. I can't go to a doctor because of no health insurance. :(

Woke up this morning with a swollen top lip and right eye, and the itching is borderline UNBEARABLE. Brought forward my doc appt but still have to wait another 6hrs before I can get in.

Ive stopped taking the anti biotics after ringing the pharmacy and taking their advice. Hopefully the doc thinks the staph is gone and the wounds will heal by themselves from here out...
and the allergic reaction hopefully goes away soon...the half life of my anti biotics is around 1 hr...so the drugs should be mostly out of my system already...its just the histamine response Ill have to wait out now...

Been Five days since they all showed up at the same time ...big one on stomach, biggie on elbow, two smalls on thigh and one meaty colonizer on inside bottom thigh. A couple others have been showing up. Just figured out what I got yesterday. No clinics open. Gonna get turmeric and milk of magnesium, stay off sugar and bread, and attack em till they leave or I die. Decent way to go and it's been a good run!! Probably won't be so fortunate. Ready to sleep.

I wouldn't use black pepper topically on that, even though it is analgesic.

Mate - you're too late - I personally have been in the same situation with fea bites, got prescribed anti biotics and went straight to my naturopath for a second opinion.

If it is swelling, draw round it, and see the rate of spread.

I would topically apply a urine-soaked pad when you are working/out and about, and when it is aerating at home, use turmeric in honey.

I would recommend witch hazel too.

If however it is spreading fast, then take the anti biotics after buying a lot of kefir.

Update: I have been dosing Tumeric 3-4 times a day. Drinking milk of magnesia and acv, and water. Taking a daily probiotic. Taking echinacea, vitamin c, and a little oregano oil. I want to find the honey and coconut oil today. The little ones seemed to break and scab while I slept. In general every time I sleep they get better. Frequent redressing and spraying Lysol after I leave every space. I got kids and animals around me constantly. Not gonna go to the clinic. I think I turned a corner. Yesterday I my arm was swollen , red, and fever was washing over me. I dosed with Tumeric soaked the arm in warm water with Epsom salt and packed kosher salt and with a sprinkle of mercuroclear on a bandage and tied it to it. I have three larger blisters that seemed to have stopped at 2 cm opening. I am praying for you clean cut. I think you should try the Tumeric . It puts fire in your blood. Stay away from sugar, fine floor, milk, or starches. I eat beans, nuts, oranges and nothing.
