Heroin Blurred vision after a big shot

Wondering if I should be concerned, or if others have experienced the same thing as me. pretty often, nowadays, whenever I do a pretty large shot that will get me nice and noddy (like, say, more than 2 bags in a shot0, I have been having my vision affected by it a lot. Ive been getting double vision a lot when I get fucked up on dope, to the point where, for example, I can type in this text box just fine but if I change what im focusing on or look above my computer screen to my tv, I wouldnt be able to read any text on the television and would see images pretty blurry.

Does anyone else experience changes in their vision, double vision, having to close one eye or squint in order to read/see things, or anything related, when doing a good amount of dope or when getting pretty high on dope?

Is this a cause for concern? It doesnt seem to me to be, its just kind of annoying to have to squint and close one eye often when I have to read something.

What do you guys think? Does it happen to you as well?
 
I sometimes find that with maybe 30-50% of IV heroin injections (most often with what I would consider to be "mid-size" dosages, which - depending on the strength of that particular batch - can range from 2 or 3 bags to 6 or more) do alter my already poor vision/neurological setup affecting ocular performance (nearsightedness, mild astigmatism, congenital partial inability to gauge distances and difficulty with spatial relations) and have the potential to initially mess up my ability to read or, say, focus on the television w/o difficulty. With larger dosages all I do is sit on my ass and concentrate on respiration and staying alive - - reading is not something I even consider trying when I'm that fucked up. But, back to the vision problems: I've found that these problems usually resolve themselves within 30 min or so (always depends on the particular batch of dope), and generally are completely absent by the time the rest of my faculties (ie cognitive ability, concentration, balance/coordination, etc.) return to baseline... In fact, now that I'm thinking about it, "normal" vision is one of several benchmarks I use to gauge whether my body is ready to start all over again with another shot...
 
Its actually funny that you say that the problem generally resolves itself within 30 minutes or so because, at the time I began the above thread, I was seeing double vision hard as hell. Now, about an hour later, I can see perfectly fine, and I even did another shot with just one bag in it between my bigger shot before that fucked my vision up and now, when I can see perfectly fine...

Basically, I did a shot with four bags in it, my vision was fucked for like 45 minutes, did another shot with one bag in it, now my vision is fine about an hour later...

I also agree that fucked up vision is one of the ways I can tell how messed up I am or a sort of "benchmark" for how high I am or how much more or less dope I should do next time.
 
This happens... its not uncommon. start worrying when you wake up laying on the floor in a puddle of drool with your works still in your arm, then you have a problem.
 
That can be a sign of being close to an overdose. Often when that happens, you are right on the line, and had you done just a little bit more, you would have fallen out.

You should not be getting blurry vision and shit after a shot. That means you did way too much.

Start being more careful, man.. because that is not a good sign and it doesn't take much when it comes to IV, to push you over the edge into OD and danger territory. Don't be reckless.

When I was shooting dope it was one of the ways I could tell the dope was good, my vision would blue and i couldn't see straight. Haveto close one eye, or shake my head to see right.
 
I've experienced that plenty of times, but as Scagnattie says, that's one of the cardinal signs that you're close to going out...that feeling of struggling to stay conscious and not being able to focus your eyes on any one thing...double vision, etc. Maybe you have a really strong batch, use less and be careful...It's one of those things, a little too much, and someone finds you cold and blue 3 hours later...a little less, you're just high...that's heroin for ya.
 
Well, to be honest when it happens, I dont even feel ridiculously "high" per-se. Often times when this happens, I am not in any way having trouble staying conscious or awake, I just have to like close one eye in order to see certain things or read certain things on my computer screen. Also, it ALWAYS goes away in like a half hour, sometimes less, sometimes a tiny bit more.

I appreciate the concern from all of you guys, but I think in my case it has less to do with being near an overdose and more to do with simply the way my body reacts to dope. It happens to me when i do a good amount of blues (roxicodone) also. If I do, say, three or four blues, knowing my tolerance this puts me nowhere near an overdose, but it still happens sometimes.

Like I said, I do appreciate the concern very much, you guys are the best, but for me I kind of feel like its just a unique (or not that unique, considering a few people who replied have experienced this also) way that my body reacts to the dope. I am very cautious and scared of overdosing, so a big shot, or what I call a big shot, is still far from anything dangerous simply because I am so scared to OD. It is true, though, like you said, that the line between nodding out and overdosing is very fine, so I do agree with you on that point and am willing to admit that I may not know my tolerance as well as I think I do, and that a big shot for me might actually be a bigger shot than I thought it was.

Fuggin dope.....shit scares me, but its so awesome :\
