News Bluelight's new merch shop!

Hello everyone

We have a few announcements to make!

Finally, Bluelight has a merchandise shop which you can find here: https://shop.bluelight.org/

***Admin Note: the shop says they are really back ordered on apparel and a couple of people have not received goods they bought early February. Stickers have been arriving though. Until we sort out the apparel, I recommend waiting as we are concerned given they've been so 'back ordered'.***

A small amount of the price, around 10-20% depending on the item, goes to Bluelight to help keep things running. Noting that we are all volunteers but we have server and software fees to keep this place looking neat.

More importantly, if you are wearing our gear (or putting our logo on your laptop or phone), then more people will get to know about us!

This shop is just the beginning and there are heaps more ideas we could add.
Please add your feedback on the shop below - including what you would like to see. If you purchase something, let us know if you are happy with it!

Bit scared bout the cost s posting to get it to the EU ?
Once ordered from US and the Post costs were then product,
which was way cheaper on its one, but they more then doubled ?
Where is it shipped from, price wise ?

Ideas:
-Caps, Fisher hats and Wool Hat s [like Granny s make].
Maybe go for ECO/ Fairtrade produced. Catching 2 flies at the same time
-Juwelery and a maybe binary Bluelight Watch.

Or one that runs back, i became 52 + 30 year [druguser may add 30]
-Sticker combining Bluelight and one off our gifted precision drawer s.

But very cool progression, please let it be be posted from EU. Or cheap.
As that would make the decision. 25 $ post costs would be a bit much.

Eventually a direct link to the store, because I had to read before finding it? Not everyone is as patient, especially on this forum.

And the donation button is still not working (or it takes long enough to give that impression)

 

I tried going through to the checkout to figure out postage costs ahead of payday but when I clicked the button for shipping outside of US it took me to a splash page saying the page I was looking for didn't exist! Le big sad

Thanks for these ideas - such good ones.

Also thank you for letting us know about the shipping costs to EU. This was not something I had been able to check on - I noticed large shipping costs to me, in Australia. We can look into whether there are other options where shipping costs are less, but I think the issue we have is that we are international and want to have only a single store, so I think we are going to encounter this problem no matter what we do. But we can look into it.

Do you mean adding 'shop' to the forum itself somewhere, or something else?

And the donation button not working - ah, I can see that we just need to change the forum donate button to point towards https://bluelight.org/donate/ (woops, thanks for alerting me to this - we changed it on the bluelight.org website but not on the forum)

I can't see why not.
I'm not sure this platform sells drinking glasses though.
May need to consider a different platform!
Does make me think of other drug related things, e.g. harm reduction stuff, that we can brand/sell.
Would need a more specialist platform though

Yes. No idea about other users, but never pay much attention to the front page. And when I see ppl talk about the merchandise and want to have a look, I wouldn't think of looking for that button on the front page. I would expect it to be in the main menu.

Also, I have checked for sending to the EU and the shipping costs vary from one country to another, which is odd.
