This is the second in an occasional series of my New Member Introductions lectures. They will be available on DVD some time next year, so don't panic if you miss one.

Now then. As a n00b you probably still haven't found your home here yet. It's quite common to find a forum on Bluelight that you feel comfortable in, and a lot of people end up sticking to that forum and never venturing outside it.

If you do that, you're doing yourself and Bluelight a disservice. There is such a wealth of information and discussion on so many different topics that it would be silly to limit yourself to one place.

The point of this lecture is to draw your attention to the 'New Posts' link accessible through the 'Quick Links' menu at the top of the page. It does what it says on the tin, and lists all the most recent posts throughout the whole forum. This is a great way to see what's going on elsewhere, and you will quite often see some interesting threads that you would otherwise have missed.

Try it. What have you got to lose? :D

I think the New Posts link is a great feature on Bluelight and I will be using it often.

Thank you for pointing it out to me Felix, this is very useful.

It's just thousands...nothing someone with real time on their hands couldn't handle...

Do NOT touch the "New Posts" features if you are unemployed. I blame this BL feature for 2 years of under employment and unemployment.
