Firstly, we must give our appologies to all non-melbourne bluelighters. We've decided to make the Golden Nang Awards Victorian only. This decision was made because we will be awarding the awards in Melbourne, and quite a lot of the categories rely on people having actually met the nominees. Plus Melbourne is better

. So if anyone else wants to organise some awards for another state then go right ahead - but the name "Golden Nang" is ours!!!

Now, after much consideration we have narowed the categories to the following final 12. They are:
1) Safest Bluelighter
(awarded to the bluelighter most committed to harm reduction in actions and attitudes)
2) Most Jaded Bluelighter
3) Biggest Post Whore
4) Best Dressed
5) Best Quote while Out
(we want a quote with a person attached... no personal jokes or one that require massive explanation, just quotes that are flat out fucking stupid and funny)
6) Best Dancer
7) Bluelighter that's hardest to shut up / biggest shit talker
8) Best Overall Contribution to Social/Drug Discussion / Most open-minded
9) Best overall thread or comment
(give the thread and the person that originally started it (unless it was Tars doing a "part 2"). We're after the thread that provided the oppertunity for the best replies and the funniest read.)

Please give us as many people as you can when nominating. These names will be used for the final short list, so if you can think of 5 people that could win "Most Jaded" then list them all! We don't want anyone worthy to miss out on final nomination, so just give us as many names as you think is appropriate.
Nominations will be accepted until Monday 15th October, at which time the final short list will be decided and voting will begin!!!

So now the people who had no land have farms, things in the jungle might be uncomfortable but at least they have part of their crops and can hope for a good harvest. Their new home is likely to be on the edge of one of the big new roads such as the Trans-Amazonian Highway. It's an impressive sounding name but really its just a very long single track dirt road.
