There was a time where Wc3 tft kept me awake when i had school in 2 hours straight. When i was 10 i played sc for about 8 hours a day. for a week or two. Is it just me or does blizzard seem sub par lately?

I literally hate sc2. The online community blows for the most part. It's becoming so call of dutyish. not in play style but the people who play it and how they play it. It's just mass one unit before your enemy does.

Just blame World of Warcraft and blizzard catering to people who want max reward for little effort into the game. They discovered Blizzard and tried Starcraft 2 when it came out. Wasnt 1 week before the "nerf them" posts started.
Personally i believe blizzard needs to separate the hardcore and casuals by having Hardcore and casual servers. The game being tuned to accommodate each type of player per type of server.

Ever since they got bought out by Activisions shits been going down the drain. Wow was good until the lick king expansion came out. Burning Crusade was one of the best experiences as far as gaming goes ive ever had. Same thing for vanilla wow

I blame Vivendi for causing Blizzard North employee's to leave and consequently the closure of Blizzard North, even though they primarily worked on the diablo series.. they brought an aspect to the table that i feel defined Blizzard as a company.

One thing i know is that Cata cant come quick enough. Archeology looks cool. Epic items, pets and mounts through a secondary profession should be interesting.
At the end of BC i was like.. "Damn, Lich king already?" Now at the end of Lich King i cant wait for this horrible expansion to be over.

Meh, i pretty much quit WoW because of WOTLK. WOTLK brought nothing but stress especially in arena.

WOTLK was crap imo. burning crusade and vanilla forever.
You must still be in the practice league or in bronze.
There are two possible reasons to not like SC2
a) you dont like RTS games
b) you suck at RTS games
WHile I agree that blizzard north was tits, dont overglorify them just cause them made D2. The same guys broke off from blizzard and made their own game, I cant even remember the name off the top of my head, but it was garbage. Blizzard brings a level of detail and polish to their games that is totally unmatched by any other company.
They scrapped a game they had spent many years and millions on just because it wasnt up to their standards (starcraft ghost).
Most anyone hating on blizzard doesnt really hate blizzard, but have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours playing their games, becomeing emotionally invested, then feel jilted when theings change or they get tired of the game.
No one spends as much time continually patching and improving their games either. Even super old games like WCIII still get patched every so often.
So in summary blizzard is awesome and will continue to be awesome. If you think otherwise feel free to play through the shitheap of RPG's and RTS's thet spend like 6 months in development, get released, then are never thought of again because the company that made it has moved on to their next garbage game.

It brought me nothing but boredom. I actually liked it until ICC, but that is when every heroic began to feel like i had ran it 1 million times and everything there was to do in the game was now a grind and not fun.
I like the idea of working your way up through the tiers. It makes you feel like youve accomplished something and also gives you motivation to keep going instead of running stupidly easy heroics every day for months for you badges and gear.

Oh believe me, i literally hate blizzard for Lich king. At least right now i can feast of the crying on the warcraft forums by noobs who actually have to.. god forbid.. pay attention and use CC and other abilities in heroics now.

I'm not saying that blizzard as a whole sucks. I'm just noting a general trend of their game quality slowly declining. I still LOVE blizzard don't get me wrong. And i do agree with your third paragraph for the most part, but you can't disagree that, for example, pvp changes in WoW affect Pve as well. I play on PvP servers and I do enjoy the experience. But in raiding I for the most part have to respec. Granted this was rectified but it should never have come to that. Furthermore, WoW has become one of the easiest games that i log onto. But cmon T6 was SOOO much harder to get than T8. There is absolutely no argument in that if you played both BC and WOTLK. My last point I guess as far as WoW goes is that it really is just way to easy. The only joy I get out of it now a days is PvP and running 60 and 70 raids which seem to have more potential to wipe people than 80 raids. They actually required concentration/focus unless nowadays where you set a rotation and click away.
And yes blizzard really is the king of patches, but they try to make every class equal and I think that's one of my biggest issues. Obviously each class should have + and -'s.
I'll probably buy Diablo III and even wc4 if WoW doesn't phase out the rts series. I've loved rts games since I was 10 and still love to play them but personally I just feel like there isn't as much feeling put into the game anymore.
I love everything about SC2. I cannot get over how much I loved the campaign and the multiplayer.
I'm good at it though, so maybe thats your issue.

Are you one of those people who started in WoTLK, loved to faceroll everything, loved to get welfare epics from VoA, failed the safety dance and frogger in Naxxramas, complained that Ulduar was too hard, complained that ToC was too hard, liked ICC because it's become a stupid raid and the buffs have made it incredibly easy and boring, loved to hug damage metres in everything (blaming the tanks or healers if anything ever went wrong), ninja'd GDKP pots, ninja'd VoA mounts, need rolled gear in heroics just because someone else needed it as an upgrade, spammed ANAL in trade, spammed Chuck Norris in Barrens chat or begged for gold in capital cities? /breath
If so, then cya won't miss ya, don't let the revolving MMO door hit you in the butt on the way out. Like it or not, Cataclysm looks like it will make WoW a half-decent game again, hopefully it'll make all the bads like you cry and leave the game before the expansion is live, so everyone else can enjoy themselves.

well heres the general response;
SCII my record atm is 43-12. It's not great but it sure as hell aint terrible.
WoW: I think i said it before, not sure, but I've been playing since vanilla, Original for anyone that doesn't know. I did original naxx, original Ony, got to BC, did hyjal, killed illidan, Kiljaeden and whatnot. I just think the progression is to easy in WotLK. Maybe Cataclysm will be better who knows. I doubt I'll grab it though to be honest, with Guild Wars II coming out and the WH 40K MMO I could care less about WoW.
