I've smoked weed for long time but hash only for the past year so I'm not very experienced as I am with cannnabis. I can easily tell apart cannabis strains and can enjoy each for their own uniqe characteristics.
I don't know what to look for in hash however and since I've just started last year having it on the rare occasions I cannot fully apperciate different hash types. I feel the difference in taste and see the difference in look but the high to me is either more or less stoning without any special characteristic, however the more I smoke it the more I know what to look for in different kinds of hash.
1. Can someone tell me what is the main difference between black and brownish/blonde hash?
2. Does the colour of the hash say anything about where it was grown or the kind of high?
3. Is most hash you find in North America from local weed dealers import hash (that has been smuggled) or locally made (domestic) hash?
I've had about 4 types of local hash (in my town), once a very low quality silver dusty looking hash, a few times some hash with bright brown or light gold on the inside and the rest black hash (so far most common). I've had some nice domestic hash from other parts of Canada which were not so 'traditional' and rather were made through ice-water extraction and other not so traditional methods, however still pressed. I also was fortunate to try some import hash like Afghani Gold, Pakistani Gold Seal and Mazar-I-Sharif. The Mazar-I-Sharif was the most noticable in look from the 3 hash chunks, as it was a redish colour which I've never seen before previously in hash. The other two were dark, the Pakistani one was a very light gold inside while the Afghani was much more of a bright brown inside.
