Ok

Im turning 23 next month and I want to celebate i guess but dont really know what to do.

I was thinking of going to Godspeed which is the weekend before my birthday and since its my dads 50th the day after my birthday I dont want to steal his thunder.

or I might go to the Icebergs

does anyone have any suggestions?

Birthdays are fantastic, think of all the people in the world that never get to your age, you should celebrate by going as hard as you can and staying sane.

I adore birthdays :) happy birthday, have a great one no matter what you do :)

I never bothered much with birthdays... it was just another day.

But last year my girlfriend organised a large suprise party for me in what turned out to be my best night of the year. It will definitely make me mark my birthday as something special for a long time to come. :D

(BTW... if you ever get the chance to throw a suprise party for someone, DO IT. Theyll never feel neglected again:D)

i have never been big celebrating my birthdays either because my parents never really made a big deal out of them *shrugs* but i live life now and celebrate anything =D

go hard

18th and 21st - have a mass party, spend a fortune and have a ball.

Any other ages just get all your close mates, go clubbing and have a fantastic night! (don't forget the camera)

:D :D :D

def have some sort of party.. birthdays are te best excuse to go out hard... even if u don't want to do a heap of organiseing.. make sure u have at least a few close friends and go out and have the best night of the year!!

I'm indifferent. I rarely tell anyone that it's my birthday, and I only ever go out if I was going to already anyway. It's just another day, and it seems weird to have all these people calling you who wouldn't have done any other day because they feel obligated to do it.

When ever someone makes a big deal fo their B'day I always say..........."congrats on making it around the sun one more time without dying".......... kinda puts things in perspective...:p

my birthday is tomorrow....ie, thursday may 6....i'm doing tea, and my gf is visiting me, but i never do anything big....dont really tell many people (i didnt tell work last year....they never knew)...i guess i feel funny about throwing a celebration for myself...i'd muuch rather do it for someone else :\ My 18th was a non event, and my 21st wasn't much more at all...my 19th i actually atempted to get uni friends to come out to the pub, and only 2 showed :\ I wasn't bitter or pissed off, just a bit miffed, and a bit "meh"...

So yeah, i think that i am just happy with my gf coming to visit me for the weekend....that's a great pressie...altho i feel a bit down/dark/meh when i talk about this, so deep down i think i would like a bit more.....but like i said, not into organising it myself.....:\

Birthdays suck.

Im just bitter. None of my friends (old or new)bothered to get me anything for my 21st... Kinda hurt a bit!!!

I dont think ill do anything for my bday this year.

i love birthdays. i dont feel the need to go out though. If I am not off my guts at exactly 12:01am when my birthday starts and bot going hard at 11:59pm when my birthday ends, then that would be dissapointing. I'd be just as happy to spend the day getting high at home than I would drag my ass to a club or event which dconwgrades the significance and importance of my birthday.

I hate Bluelight birthday threads ... not sure why, but since I arrived, these threads have really pissed me off.

well i'm turning 18 on saturday... i know it's meant to be a big one, but really i just want to hang out with my friends and do the stuff we usually do. cos that's when i have the most fun.
i think i'm just going to start partying on friday through to sunday. meet up with anyone who wants to see me.. hehe..
i'm really not that into birthdays.. when i look back on them i think they're nice. but at the time i hate all the attention... argh!

I don't really like to celebrate my Birthday anymore, as it's not really that much of a big deal to me anymore.

However next year I will be celebrating my 24th b'day on NYE seeing as though it's only a few days after NYD, and soon after that I'll be going overseas for a very long time. :)

My 21st is this year, and as much as people love to get excited about it .. and plan huge monstrous events i'm not one for that. I've had my huge 16th and 18th celebrations, but have slowly died off the 'huge party for me thing'.

I dont particulary want to turn 21, just as much as i didnt want to be 20 or 19! I dont particularly want to arrange a party. I dont want my parents spending heaps of money on a celebration for something that i dont feel the need to celebrate.

Having said that, it is tradition to have money spent on your for your 21st in my family. I am going to ask for cash, and go on a holiday for the period before and after my 21st (providing uni doesnt conflict). I dont want people who i havent seen in months rocking up to my party for free piss, and forcing me to entertain false pretentious conversations. Not my thing at all.

I'm gonna go shopping in melbourne i think. Or goldcoast who knows. :)
