Misc Bioavailability of Barbiturates?

My friend and I are trying to figure out if barbiturates are more bioavailable when taken rectally, or orally. Does anyone here know?
I've come across conflicting information regarding the matter. I've read somewhere, I can't remember where now that you'd get 90% of the barbiturate when administered rectally VS. 70 when ingested. but I can't find it again in order to try to confirm the validity of this.

This table shows the bioavailabilty (F) for phenobarbital is 100% oral vs 90% rectal but the tmax for oral is anywhere from 0.4 to 4.0 hours shorter. From a few other things I read the bioavailabilty seems pretty similar (~90% ) for either route.

spacificly, but I'm guessing it's the same then.

I imagine it is. Be careful, please. Barbs are far more dangerous than benzos.

Hey I had a bunch of 25mg amobarbital pills which I attempted to snort and I can snort pretty much anything without as much as a pinch in the nose, but this burn beyond belief. I got through snorting 1 full 25mg pill and it felt as if I had eaten 2x much around 50mg oral and it hit much quicker in about 20min rather than 50min but the burn was so sever I couldn't flow with the hypnotic effects due to the burn, yeah burned that much!

I also decided to plug 3 25mg pills, can't remember if they were taken at the same time all together but within a 20-30min period at least I had plugged all 3 pills. This didn't seem to do much for me and I would say its only a tiny stronger than oral, not what I what I was expecting like when I got beyond blasted with plugged morphine which had me pale as a ghost and in full effect!

Oral bioavailability of barbiturates depends heavily on the stomach contents. The full effect of barbies is on an empty stomach, or 2hrs after your last meal, popping them right after eating barely even works!

When you plugged the three pills, did you just put the pills in there? Because I was reading on an enema/plugging guide that while putting whole pills up there will work, it won't work nearly as well as grinding them up in a bit of water and injecting the mix up there. or even using an actual emptied out enema to do that.
I'm still relatively new at this subject matter, however.
