Best clubs in SOBE?? Miami bluelighters where you at?

Ok, need the 411 on the best clubs in SOBE, and please dont say Liquid as that place has become the tourist trap from hell. Im going to check out Shadow Lounge this weekend, heard Crobar is good, what about Chaos, Level, Living Room, etc...
Crowd, music, scene, etc...the good afterhours clubs
I used to be a Grove kind of guy, but now that I have tried E! and loved it, and really gotten into trance and good dance music I want to be able to go out and dance all night like I did Friday in NYC. Have lost interest in the drinking...

I know what you mean about the lost interest in drinking, that's for sure.
Okay, anyway, I'm not sure about SoBe, but I have some friends in Lauderdale that say "Play" is really cool. It's over by the Chili Pepper I think. I've never been there myself - I live in SoCal now. But I almost went there when I was there for Xmas, but never got around to it.

I must agree on BarRoom, but it gets kinda packed inside and unless you're on the list you'd have to wait in line forever...
I went to Level over the break and was really disappointed, fortunately we got in for free otherwise i would have really been pissed...the crowd was really odd and the music was soooo bad, i think the DJ was learing or something, and the interior looked like they hadn't done anything to it since it was Glam Slam...really rundown and ugly, in my opinion...and i'm an architect/
design student...
Groove Jet is cool if you go during the week...Tuesday nites are when all the locals go, so its not all the cheesy underage lame crowd like on the weekends
I like Fat Black PussyCat at Liquid, Monday nites...it honestly the only thing thats good on Monday nites!!
I must say, though, the best nites are during the week, not the weekend...Penrods throws something Monday nites called BeeHive...its an outdoor live music thing with the model crowd you know so well on south beach...not really a rolling atmosphere
Other than that, i always look for flyers in stores on the Beach to see whats good [because it always changes] and look in the New Times for when good DJs come...i think Dave Ralph was at Shadow Lounge on New Years...

For afterhours fun, go to the mix, @ 1417 washington avenue. Opens at 430, so get there around 345-400 to beat the rush. The crowd at the mix is really nice overall. But, do NOT bring any drugs into the place. Security is tight. They do pat-downs and the whole 9 yards before you go in. They have a strained relationship with the city, and bringing drugs in will strain it further. Do what I do and pop in line before you go in

Yeah Liquid is a real piece of work now. Their slogan is 'it's all about the music'. Bullshit. They have college nights now, and it draws the braindead types. Even though I myself go to UMiami, I still deplore college nights. Bad music, bad crowd, etc..
As far as normal hours clubs go, for a good crowd, try Mission. Sure, it may seem trashy, but the music is great and the people are as well. I've been out for a month, and a few new places have come up, so when I come back this Friday, I've got some investigating to do

Go to Level!!! Its so incredible! I was there for New Years! WoW! I posted awhile back about it....don't know if anyone read it, but that place was unreal. I'm in Lex, KY. I plan on going back down for Springbreak. I can't wait!
 
Why is it that I feel like some sick bastard is keeping all my emails from me....just to make me even more depressed then I am tonight???? Grrrrrrr....

Now If I could just bring my seritonin back up after Friday's roll, then I would feel good instead of the incredible malaise I find myself currently in. Plus my buddy screwed me out of 4 beans that I paid for the other night and now I have nothing...all for a semi decent looking girl.... GRRRRRR!!

Yo go to Mission its usually pretty good. The one good thing about it is that there is no dress code. I usually feel more comfortable if the people at clubs are a bit like me. Now don't think I'm some fashion snob, but does anyone know of a club where everybody wears big pants and stuff? Maybe where there are some candyravers too?!
