Benzos Benzo Tolerance So Soon?

I got my hands on a bunch of diazepam, 5 mg tabs. For the past two weeks I've been taking them 3 times a week. First week 20 mg a dose did the trick. Second week 20 mg was producing the desired effects, so I increased my dose to 25 mg during the subsequent days in the second. Now, the third week, and I'm not really feeling 25 mg at all. So I tried 30 mg, but I still did not get the desired effects. However, today after 35 mg, I did get the desired effects.

Is it normal for benzo tolerance to develop so fast within 3 weeks? I'm only taking the tabs three times a week.

Yes that is possible. Did your doctor not warn you when they were prescribed? But if you keep upping it by 5mg a week you're going to be on an extremely high dose extremely quickly.

Benzo's are indicated for short term (<2 weeks) use. With each day you dose, your tolerance increases and the efficacy decreases.
