Benadryl/'Tramadol safety question.

So I totally know already that taking dipenhydramine(Benadryl) with Tramadol is safe, as I loaded up on 3 glasses of grapfruit juice, 4 bennys(25mg each.) a couple tums and 4 trammy(50's) earlier, with the trams spaced out every half an hour and a g;lass of gf juice in between each. But I am uncertain on rather or not it would be safe to do a dipenhydramine trip on the same day that I took an opioid, because I generally take 400-500mgs to trip out, and I am unaware of if such a thing would be safe, though I took them hours ago. This is because Tramadol's effects last from 6-18 hours, and though bennys aren't a depressant, but a delliriant, hallucinogen, I would rather be safe then sorry. Any informative answer is appreciated. Thanks.

Diphenhydramine and grapefruit juice decrease the effects of tramadol since they inhibit the enzyme which converts tramadol into a strong opioid. Diphenhydramine is also a neuroleptic, and it lowers the seizure threshold. It's is also extremely dysphoric, and it could tarnish the effects of tramadol, CYP inhibition aside.

Even using diphenhydramine alone is puzzling to me even for a pre-pubertal. I'm not sure why being in complete delirium is enjoyable. That's like enjoying a nightmare.

Tramadol, diphenhydramine, and grapefruit are a lousy combination. Tripping in diphenhydramine alone, is both toxic in high dosages, and extremely frightening.
