Benadryl and Ritalin?

WHats up Bluelight? So swim has a question about using benadryl to aid sleep after abusing concerta (extended release ritalin) to sleep come nigh time. Swim has never used benadryl but has heard the stories of "tripping" on the substance if you are able to withstand its drowsy effect. So would a certain dose of benadryl be able to put Swim to sleep despite being jacked up on concerta or adderall? More importantly, is this combo safe? Thanks for your replies

The combo should be okay..just don't go taking 10 your first dose.
Start w/2. You might find that's enough to put you to sleep.
And honestly, not sleeping well is kinda the risk you take when abusing ritalin.
If you wanna sleep well..then you probably shouldn't do that.

Hmm, not sure on your exact question, but I'd use a benzo myself if possible. Or 4 shots of tequila maybe.

Yes, you (not SWIM, we all know its you, the SWIM business only makes your posts hard to read and will cause a lot of people to simply ignore your thread) can use Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or other sedating antihistamines (such as promethazine, doxylamine, etc) to help yourself sleep after using stimulants. Doxylamine and promethazine are the most effective for this in my experiences. Doxylamine is OTC everywhere, promethazine isn't OTC in the United States but it is OTC pretty much everywhere else.

But yeah, as others have said, benzos are more effective but Benadryl will still work.

^ indeed GABAs are much better for comedowns. But if you have no other alternatives, eating some benadryl shouldn't be a problem, just don't go above about 75mg.
