I am a male in my late 20s. About 4 months ago, my doctor recommended that I try a gluten free diet to resolve some health issues. I responded well to the diet and found it cleared up a lot of physical and mental issues. Im currently feeling the best ive felt in a long long time; the only strange side effect ive noticed is that my beard is turning blonde. I had very blonde hair as a child, but since i was probably 10 it has always been dark brown to almost black. My beard hair has always been very dark.
The change in hair color began with a widening of the amount of facial hair under my bottom lip. two small patches of blonde hair began to grow in on either side of my goatee. I hadnt been paying attention for a few weeks and now i notice that my normal beard hair (and mustaches) is speckled with blonde hairs and it is quite noticeable
I also notice a little more hair coming in on my checeks (all dark, so far).
Is this change in hair color a result of my body returning back to balance or could it be a sign of some other health issues? or is it complete normal for your beard to change color in your lifetime? just curious whats going on here!
