Previous Battlefield games have been all about the multiplayer - BF2 in particular had some of the best team vs. team multiplayer of all time. The game was so diverse with all the options available; choppers, jets, tanks, APVs, trucks, jeeps and good old-fashioned running around. It was all balanced really well so everything had it's strengths and weaknesses (maybe the attack-helicopters and jets were a bit unfair but they could still be taken down).
I just watched
the 12-minute singleplayer trailer in 720p on YouTube and it looks absolutely epic. It will be great to have a good singleplayer experience before diving into the multiplayer.
I'll be picking this up on release day if it's available on Steam. With the Aussie dollar so strong right now (AU$1.00 buys US$1.09 at the moment), Steam games have never been cheaper. Looking forward to the release of BF3!
