bat/one hitter?

Im not extremely huge into smoking and usually smoke blunts or out of a pipe whenever i do smoke. But for the longest time ive heard of a bat as a device for smoking, and have seen them for sale on websites and headshops. The thing is i dont understand how one is used and why one is used? Are there advantages? Also, is a chillum and one hitter the same as a bat. Aand what materials are they made of, glass only? Thanks.
 
one hitters are almost like metal cigarettes (indeed some are fashioned to look like them). you can pack about one hit inside of them. they have the advantage of being stealthy because you just take a rip and put it away. they dont stay lit

a chillum is similar, but chillums can have big bowls and are traditionally smoked in a way so that you make a chamber with your hands and inhale thru it

one hitters can be made from metal or glass
 
Go to www.google.com and search for images for smoking bats and maybe that will clear things up for you.

Bat is a slang term for alot of things.
 
In my four years of smoking I almost always use a glass chillum. Right now I have a really thick one with orange, yellow, blue, and WHITE... dont see white on a pipe that much... and its inside out y0

Sounds cool. I had a bat once, but i was drunk and thought it was a cigarette in my mouth and threw it in the toilet and no i did not retrieve it.
 
A bonus too the stealthy cigarette like appearance of my one hitter is the fact that I save so much weed.

I no longer find myself buring through all my green.

2 to 3 hits and I’m straight.

And my tolerance level has decreased tremendously.

I give the one hitter 8 outta 10 of these guys %) %) %) %) %) %) %) %)
 
And, btw, a one hitter fits way more than one hit, usually more lik 8-12. If you can smoke all the shit in a filled one hitter in one hit, i am fucking scared of you. And they do save so much weed it's amazing, i love one hitters. They're only good though if you have good dank or something, schwagg is not meant for one hitters.
 
well, as for the cigarette 1 hitters... they do NOT only hold 1 hit... usually.... the only 2 people ive ever seen clear a full bowl of those in 1 hit would be me and my aunt.. when we really put our minds to it.. but then again, we're nicknamed 'lungs' by our 'people'.... runs in the family i suppose
 
^i respectfully disagree.

when we're riding around the city, we use those cigarette look-alikes to keep stealthy. obviously we have to repack it a lot, but it keeps us from gettin caught by leo.

i also use those wooden slide-top pistol grips to keep my stash and bat in. its compact and stealthy.

if im going all out on some expensive dank, im not gonna be in the position where i need to be stealthy. i will whip out the big beautiful bubbler and sit back and relax.

heliosphan, just do a search on any online headshop or look in your local headshop for bats/one hitters. they definately contribute to a collection quite nicely.
 
I love bats, my first pipe ever was a metal cigarette bat with a dugout. I bought a glass bat that fits my dugout so I've used that quite a bit. I bought a nice thick big glass bat at a dead show this summer, I love it.

Dementedgoat-I know people who can smoke an entire one hitter in one hit, unfortunatley I'm not one of them.
I can't even take a single hit without coughing up lots of phlegm. :-\
 
theres atleast 3 hits in a normal cig hitter frizz and a chillum and a one hitter are totaly different a chillum is a straight glass with normaly a decenet size bowl
 
yeah man, bats are great, especially for the school bathroom, im in and out of there in like 2 seconds and have a good buzz goin for about the next 3 periods
 
maybe you guys have big bats or small lungs but i usually got only one or maybe two good hits from my one hitter. if you pack them tight you might get a lot of small hits cause there isnt enough airflow but i'd rather get one big rip
 
I used to like my one hitter. It was great for smoking alone. The bowl wasnt too big so i could pack nice individual bowls. I have so many memories sitting at this computer pulling on that thing. I liked it better than blunts or joints. The little bat also worked well for smoking opium.............

Damn, now i'm fiending for opiates.... mm.....

I can imagine if you had pretty solid opium a one hitter would work pretty well, but if I had it i'd take 30 minutes to empty a light bulb and clean it out and make a freebase pipe out of it.

methinks I need to grow some poppies......
