I almost forgot about this gem. A corrupt Lieutenant, the great Harvey Keitel, does what everybody in his position would do. Do drugs, gamble, rob, bang whores. Most excellent film. What's your thoughts?

I can't believe butter fingers drops that whole brick of cocaine

Pull over girls who had taken the car and snuck out. Tsk, tsk, tsk. I won't tell your daddy that you guys snuck out of the house. But only if your friend pulls down her pants and shows me her ass. And only if you show me how you would suck cock. Yeah, that's it. Work that mouth. Use that tongue.

Practically a police recruiting movie!

Carl, that has to be the best line in the film.

I never saw this film but was once intrigued by the life of Zoe Lund, she co-wrote the screenplay and makes an appearance in the film.

If interested you can learn a little about her at zoelund.com

Here she is with rodent..

Damn they missed a lot of smoke while they were trying to chase lol, what noobs!

I remember that scene with the girls in the car, in which Harvey Keitel goes on and on along the lines of, IIRC, "yeah, suck it bitch...suck it you bitch...suck my cock" etc. etc. I remember having to turn the volume down because the walls in my apartment were thin and I thought the neighbors would think that I was watching some kind of weird porno or something. That scene just went on and on

I want to pick an actor like Keitel and edit all the best scenes together. Sounds like work, but worth it.

Hell yeah, one of my favorites. A true classic tale of redemption! Nothing like the nun-rape scene. Actually every scene in that movie is shocking and incredible.

Could that movie have hit as hard (subjective) if the nun rape scene wasn't included, or at least as vivid and dramatic as it was? We know what we know now, but if the movie came out, basically as close to the original, without that nun scene, or at least the same scene, but not as dramatic or vivid, would the movie be just as good overall? Would it be looked at as a classic or cult film?

I think that the movie was good enough to remain a great movie, even if the storyline was slightly altered, it could have had a pivotal scene which was just as deep.
