Baclofen nulls cocaine effects

Has anybody tried to use Baclofen to relief cocaine comedown effects?

Is it safe and/or effective?

Also, as it inhibits dopamine release, I assume it will reduce or completely null cocaine effects. Is that correct?

Did you search using the search engine? There isn't a lot of topics about this but there is some discussion about how baclofen can be used to reduce cocaine cravings.

Yes I did searched. But Its not about the cravings, I want to know if it will help easing the comedown of cocaine by relieving anxiety, jitters, etc.

there was a dr on one of the big news shows like 2020/dateline claiming it as a cure for all sorts of addictions from alcohol on down. there may be some truth to it but mostly placibo effect imo. I have access to a ton a baclofen and have tried it to curb cravings - it did nothing.

I am not too familiar with baclofen in its effects so I couldn't tell you.

I am hoping it would however I also hope that someone else could give you a better idea than I could.

I have heard people say it's not too pleasant of a drug - maybe you would want to start low if you are going to try this yourself?

So, I guess i was right. An hour and a half after taking 40mg Baclofen I snorted a line of coke and felt absolutely no mood change.

"Pretreatment with baclofen (1.25 and 2.5 mg/kg i.p.) dose-dependently reduced the nicotine-, morphine-, and cocaine-evoked DA release in the shell of the nucleus accumbens. Furthermore, baclofen alone did not elicit changes in basal DA extracellular levels up to 180 min. Taken together, our data are in line with previous reports demonstrating the ability of baclofen to modulate the mesolimbic DAergic transmission"

It also did not relief any anxiety symptoms. Therefore, in my experience, it's not worth taking at all to comedown of cocaine.

After 8 hours tried again, still getting zero effects from cocaine.

Damm
