Im sorry this will be my last scared post. I think I slipped into an art after injecting most of the coke into vein cause last register was bright red. My arm did not hurt from hitting the artery prob cause it was coke. My hand is still usable but feals a little limp, and it is not blue or anything yet.. there is a little strange numbness in arm but it could be from coke slipping out of vein under skin. So how can I tell for sure. swelling, pain ect...

Did you nick it or what? I don't think you'd still be typing if you nicked your artery to be honest. Were you trying to hit a vein and instead hit an 'artery'? Or did you miss a shot? How long ago was this?

If it seems like it is going to be a big problem, you're better off going to the ER or contacting an actual doctor. There's only so much the internets can do for you.

yeah I know. Thats why Im not sure, cause I registered fine, but last register was bright red, and then I slipped even farther in. I dont notice any swelling, and yeah my hand is working fine, but feals a little limp and I have a few pins and needles but barely. It is a little colder also... It was about 40 minutes ago

Would it be a big problem for you to go to a doctor or the ER at this hour? I don't know where you live but it's pretty late here.

But if it was 40 minutes ago and there are no new symptoms or if nothings worsened, I would personally leave it alone. That's just me though. Your safest bet would be to get it checked out, better safe than sorry.

I feel like if you hit/nicked an artery 40 minutes ago, you would've been in some serious trouble by now. Or at least start to experience dizziness/faintness, and whatever else is associated with blood loss. I'm no expert though.

I'm not greatly experienced but if you nicked your artery you'd definitely be aware of it. Had a friend about a year ago shoot some dope into his wrist and immediately told me he needs to go to the ER. After dumping a bunch of crap at another friends we went to the local hospital. When we got in his hand was swollen like crazy. If there are no new symptoms I'd say get it checked tomorrow for safety. In general I believe it's good to apply pressure and keep the limb above elevated. I'm not sure on the last bit so don't quote me. If your really worried/feel like things are worse I'd go to the ER and save yourself the possible medical trouble. If you do go to the ER just dump all your gear and whatnot somewhere/hide it. Just a general precaution most of my friends who shoot take when they make the ER visit.

I dodnt know if this helps, but when I slammed coke, after the first shot and I am doing another one, the blood always seemed bright red and I know I made the vein, oh did i know.

If you hit an art there would be no,mistajing it...

I kniw tgis because I actully hit mine a few days ago...

Omar!ntt swelling of the hand/ARM..
And splotchwd rash like on ARM and hand

all these posts made me feel much better, because my hand is still very useable and the slight pins and needles feeling has gone away. No swelling or pain. I think i just slipped the needle into my muscle in my arm perhaps and that caused the weird sensation I got. I have been using 30g needles and was used to them and I used a 28g one for that shot and im not used to the leangth. Thanks for all the help

Glad you are feeling better. Coke is of course a topical anesthetic so that can account for the numbness. If you notice any swelling, pain, or numbness, tingling, or other signs of lack of circulation in your extremities distal to the injection site you may want to still get it checked out though.

Other than that monitor the injecting site for infection or abscess.

Best of luck!
