Are you a successful drug user?

Let's face it, were a bunch of druggies. Who posts on a drug forum??

Now I'd be willing to bet that many of us are happy in our lives and are successful (especially because online forums usually attract people more intelligent than the norm, and being interested in harm reduction surely is a sign of intelligence also).


So, where are you in your life? How many drug users and heavy drug users here are successful or very successful?

I've had great success in web development while using opiates, cannabis, mdma, and the odd shroom, lsd, or research chem. trip.


You have permission to brag, I love hearing stories about how someone aced college or landed a good paying job while high out of their minds. And it can motivate drug users to pursue success when society tells them they will fail.
 
I take drugs nearly every day, I've used everything from 2ci to heroin whilst at work and have still done well in my career. I have travelled the world with work and get paid very well.

In my opinion the notion that if you take drugs you will be a failure in life is mearly drug propaganda.
 
I do ok. I'm still pretty new to my career and just starting my second job on a 30% payrise.
I will have to stop browsing bl at work, though. New company is part of a major corporation so almost certainly have usage policies and the like.
 
I am an opiate addict and a sucessful student, journaism major, I have no doubt in my mind that I will succeed in my life. I'm not even moderately worried about it.

I'm a construction estimator and training to be a construction manager, pretty successful I think, I was addicted to meth for years while training and studying too...

i used more drugs than ever before last year, and i came top of my year for my science course at university.. just say yes kids!
 
I smoke cannabis several times a day and have a fondness for psychedelics, MDMA, opioids, benzos and alcohol (from time to time), and I'm a student at a "New Ivy" making a 3.75 with a decent paying job and a pretty successful debate career. "Successful" is a loaded term, but I'm happy where I am and drugs have never 'held me back' from anything other than maybe showing up to a class or two ;)
 
I smoke cannabis daily and use ecstacy and alcohol on a regular basis, cocaine the odd time, used LSD/Mushies about 15 times together,used nearly every drug bar research chemicals and heroin/crack and i'm doing fine in uni, passed everything so far except one exam that i didn't really deserve to pass as i got pissed the night before which was a bit of a stupid idea.

I'm going to LA in a couple of months to work, so i see myself doing generally quite well,not a totally failure.

Speaking of work got to go and do some coursework now on the soviet government.
 
I used drugs almost every weekend and sometimes also during the week in high school. While studying for the final exams my heroin addiction worsened and I did it almost every day. Despite this I finished with very high grades.

Last year I started uni and after a few relapses to heroin I've now been clean from everything for three months. I'm no longer on top of the class so maybe I should start using again? ;)

...Or just realise that this isn't going to be quite as easy as high school.

In some ways, I am a success, in others I am not. I have been a heavy drug user for the past 3 or 4 years, but I feel that the drug use accompanies my failings, and may even be the primary means by which I cope with this, rather than the mode for my failures.
 
I start fucking up when i simply focus on drugs and lose track of what i am supposed to be doing. I've had that problem with just fucking around in general even before drugs, but overall ive done fairly well. Still do drugs. And about the post above mine, my buddy gets good grades when he studies on black tar.
 
I'm an everyday drug user, whether its some sort of pain killers, benzos, weed, or sleeping pills. This is all mixed in with the occasional x, shrooms, etc etc.

I graduated from a top University and landed a decent enough job with a major corporation that I'm sure everyone knows. Things are good and I'm comfortable and can't complain.
