Opioids Are Oxy wd's the same as H?

Basically that's my question. Are all opiate wd's the same? Or would the synthetic one's be different?

They will all certainly be unpleasant, but not equally unpleasant.

The onset of heroin withdrawal is usually far more severe than the onset of oxy.

Anyway, everyone is different and there will be too many factors for any quality answer to this question.

not even close in my case..when i had withdrawals rom my iv heroin habit, it was nightmarish..my oxy withdrawals were mild in comparison..

If what you are asking is are the symptoms all the same with opiates then the answer is yes. The intensity and onset may be different for different people and with different drugs but the symptoms are pretty much the same all the way around.

I suppose each opioid has the ability to cause the same/similar symptoms.

IME (and many others) Generally symptoms like severe depression and diarrhea are worse with heroin than they're with oxy.

Oxy seemed to cause worse RLS for me. I would actually get RAS (Restless Arm Syndrome) it was so bad the only remedy was hot bath, after hot bath, until no more hot water.

I remember oxy withdrawal seemed to have a weird depersonalization aspect, which I now get from suboxone.

(Could be a morphine vs. thebaine thing) Perhaps it has to do with the semi-stimulant nature of Thebaine...dunno

Like I said, the intensity may be different for different drugs for different people but opiates/opioids cause all the same symptoms in general. One may seem worse to someone than another but in general the same symptoms are caused by all of them.

I agree. I think that people saying heroin withdrawals are worse may have been taking a higher dose of heroin in comparison to oxycodone. With heroin it's easier to do a lot since it's cheap and widely available, but most people are limited in their oxy use by price, availability, or both.

For example, if a bag of dope is equal to 70mg of oxycodone and someone is doing 7 of them a day that would be like doing 490mg of oxycodone each day. I doubt that anybody would be able to afford, let alone have access to 490mg of oxycodone a day, so most people won't ever be able to compare the two based on equivalent doses unless they happen to be doing a small amount of heroin. I'm not sure if everyone on here is taking this into consideration when saying which one was worse. If they were IVing a bundle a day, compared to an oxy habit they had years before which only got to 100mg of oxy a day, of course they will say the dope kick was worse.

I know somebody that is physically dependent on oxycodone and he seemed to get worse than I did from heroin, so it depends on the person. I seemed to have a lot worse stomach issues when withdrawing from subs or oxy compared to H but perhaps there were other variables. One thing that seems to be universally true is that oxycodone withdrawals start a lot sooner after the last dose than heroin wd's do. Pretty much all short acting opiate withdrawals are very similar, and I know that I could never tell the difference.

No. Rule of my book: Every compound has unique onset and discontinuation effects, combine that with the wildcard that is your individual unique body chemistry, environmental factors, co-administration of other psychoactive drugs during or before the withdrawals, which meds you take, whether you have medical conditions that require a specific route to go, etc...

TL;DR Yes and No. But the consensus is No.
