Applying the Fentanyl Patch Correctly....

Im am going to be obtaining a Fentanyl patch this thursday and had a few questions. in the past i have chewed on strips of it despite the deadly risks and dont feel like doing it again. i plan on just applying it for the 3 days as it was meant to be used, but have a few worries. what happens when i want to take a shower? do i take it off or will the adhesive be gone when i go to apply it after my showers? i cant picture leaving it on in the shower because it would get scrubbed right off :p and secondly... will i be completely fucked up for 3 days? i used to use opiates everyday and from prior use of the patch i know it is an extremely strong pain killer. i still need atleast 25mg of oxy to feel good despite my opiate use going down but since every hour the patch releases the medication... what does it feel like compared to oxys? like 5mg oxy? 10mg? 25mg? 80mg? lol im not sure what to expect since ive never used the patch correctly and now that i want to and get the full use out of it by doing so... i dont want to walk around for 3 days like a zombie :p will it fuck me up horribly or is it tolerable? any other info you guys would like to throw in like warnings or even how to go about applying/reapplying it would be such a great help. thank you all in advance =D
 
If you need only 25mg from oxy to feel good. I highly recommend staying away from a fentynal patch. OD is highly possible and yes, you will be walking around for 3 days like a zombie fucked up horribly.
 
What I did with the fentanyl patch and I don't condone this I cut a tiny um half inch by half inch piece of the patch and chewed on it and didn't swallow, I chewed for a couple mins and I took it out, granted I had a large opiate tolerance too, I still got fucked up for hours.

I do not reccomend this at all.

I never liked wearing them, they never worked for my when I wore them
 
Yeah what OP said, don't even bother fucking with the patch....
You will OD, and the risk is just NOT worth it.

25mg of oxy is a new user dose to get them uber high

Just slap it on and see how you go, I remember I had one of these with a few sleepers and lines of OC (NOTE: At this time my Oxycontin tolerance was pretty decent, was a daily user recreationally.) And was feeling fantastic for a while, but it does literally turn you into a zombie, one thing I found though was that if it became too much you could just remove it and it would stop soon after. (Not sure if this is correct, may have been other substances wearing off.) Also, I assume that it will not work for 3 days, would you not build up a tolerance or some sort of 'normal-ness' with it?

Also, I don't recommend mixing the patch with other drugs as I have done, I didn't realize at the time how easy these things were to OD on. If you want to get messed put it in some water and drink (NOT THE FULL PATCH, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY OD) or slip a strip of the patch under your tongue like you have previously done.
 
No you can't drink the fentanyl because it's Oral BA is damn near 0

It's inactive Orally, it's only routes of admin is Bucoul, sublingual, rectal, IM, IV and transdermal

One thing i dont like is when people lack the time and common sense to read the original statement. I stated i need atleast 25mg of oxy to "feel good", not get "fucked up". Therefore, 25mg is my minimal dose of oxy to feel anything. i have once before cut the patch into 5 strips and chewed up one strip per hour and didnt get fucked up at all. i felt the nice warm opiate buzz but no where close to being "fucked up". if anyone would like to give a more sensible response about my curiosity in my original post it would be greatly and highly appreciated. previous posters have said that they didnt really feel much from wearing the patch regularly so i plan on once again just cutting it up and placing the strips in my cheek/gums if no one can provide a good plan on wearing the patch and still feeling good.... Any help would be nice....

Great fuck you, stick the patch on and act like a cunt. I don't give a fuck if you die or not. One thing I don't like is when people ask questions, then attack people for responding. You asked for opinions and you got mine. If you feel 25mg of Oxy perhaps the fent patch isn't for you. I was looking out for your best interest, and also being that this is a harm reduction site that is the advice I gave. If you don't like it don't take it. If you want to be a rude cunt have at it. I could give a fuck about what your tolerance is, it's not about dick sizing. I read what you wrote and I posted my opinion so have others.

Also you could use the fucking search engine and go to the Fentanyl website and find out if you can shower with it. Good luck.

Wow its people like you who exaggerate statements that weren't stated as so that piss me off. being this is a harm reduction site (like you stated and i wont bother to exaggerate) and not myspace or facebook... i wont bother to continue pointless arguments so please go back to your drama filled socializing site and start some arguments there, repeating the word 'cunt' like a hardass. You started it with me, again if you didn't like my response then sad fucking day. I was looking out for your best intrest. If you bothered to read the other responses they were similiar to mine. The fent patch is quite dangerous. My friend is on it for spinal stenosis and he sleeps for 3 days straight, and I believe he wears it in the shower if he is awake but I am not 100%.

Try getting some sort of dressing/medical tape to cover it whilst showering, also don't apply to the patch directly.

Also, Violenza666 has truth to what he is saying, even 25mg is quite low, so be careful. If you are one of the unlucky people to get a damaged patch or it happens to be a bit too intense, you're most likely going to OD, people here are trying to help you not get at you.

So does this mean sticking it in your mouth does nothing? Or just placing it in a cup of water? I have never tried this myself, just based on what other people have said I applied the patch directly to my skin when I once tried it.
 
Well my apologies to you all, especially you Violenza, for acting like a prick. i didnt mean to start with anyone i just worded my shit wrong. i want to wear the patch for the full 3 days as it was intended to be used because if im gonna abuse one of the most dangerous prescription drugs talked about in the media as well as here on BL, i want to atleast do one thing right. a little background info... 25mg is a low dose and i do realize that. But to get honestly "fucked up" and get the nods somewhat quick... honestly insufflating only one oxy 80 will do the job. but i do not like comparing the patch to this because i have had past experiences chewing up the patch and i wasnt completely fucked. what should i expect to feel if i wear the patch as directed? and i have used google to search taking a shower with the patch on and got no real results. just the fact that the heat/steam can speed up the release process of the fent....
 
you should just but out (: its one thing to give biased opinion about the topic in the thread weather it be harsh or kind (which we already covered) but if you dont like a thread than just ignore it and move on, simple as that.

Excessive heat can cause more to be released into your system. I personally have no experience with that patch so I don't know if when it's taken off how well it will stick back on. I know my lidocaine patches dont stick on worth a fuck and I have to use tape for them anyways. I don't shower with them. It is so not the same thing though. I can do an oxy 80 and I would not be comfortable sticking a patch on me. Anwyays again good luck with whatever desecion you chose. Also if you do stick it on.. do you have a sober friend that can hang out with you for a few days to make sure you are okay?
 
Fentanyl doesnt even give an enjoyable high, it'll just cause a nod...
And it WILL leave you dopesick as a mother fucker.

What dose is the patch?

A very converstion chart puts an daily oral 100mg oxy dose along the same lines of wearing a 50mcg/h patch, a daily 150mg oxy dose to a 75mcg/h patch, and a daily 200mg oxy dose to a 100mcg/h patch.

So using that above, wearing a 50mcg/h patch might put you in nod land for 3 days straight, assuming you do not take it off.

if you must, I suggest wearing it until you feel it kick in, at that point, take it off and take note of the time it took for you to feel it. Then give it a little time for it to peak. You can then judge the high. If it's not where you want to be, the next day, leave it on a bit longer, than take it off.

Everyone is being a dick because even the most experienced user with habits 10x the size of yours have died from these things (including some of our own BL's). And we don't need another one going the same route. Just be smart and treat the drug with respect. Personally, I used about 150mg a day, and would never think about sticking one of those guys on me. You never know when the devil's coming for you.

I've overdosed on these patches and I had a enormous habit.

Found unresponsive, not breathing...

I abused the patch though
 
yeah i got a few who can make sure im okay. if i start feeling any harsh effects im not completely comfortable with ill be sure to take it off immediately and store it in something airtight so it wont go bad and if i decide to reuse it i will just cut it up or smoke it with foil
