Please help!!! My lava lamp is from 1976, and has air bubbles in the 'lava'. I have no idea if it is just because it is over 25 and I should throw it away, or if there is some simple trick i can do to get rid of the bubbles. They just look yucky!! Thanks in advance for your help!!

go into a store that sells lava lamps and see if they know. They may be able to put you in touch with some manufacturers.... just don't tell them how old it is otherwise they'll try and sell you a new one

Whenever I have troubles with my lava lamp, I usually turn it on, leave it on for 4 hours (or till the lava goes or whatever), then turn it off, then do it again the next day. One time it got Tres fucked up, and it took like a week of doing that to get it back... worth a shot.

Thanks for the help!! I'll try the on/off thing for a few days and see if that works. If not.....just another excuse to buy a new one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My poor little lamp is looking better, and seems to be happier without all the bubbles!
