angels and airwaves is an independent band that is very philosophical behind their lyrics, and has a very positive vibe. their main message/theme in their music is being positive, having faith (their umbrella man symbol often shown is symbolizing 'the leap of faith') and doing what you think is right (tuition?). they have a movie that is coming next month called LOVE, about an astronaut who is lost in orbit alone on a space station. LOVE is usually described in philosophy as a connection and the popular belief in 'oneness.' the band is not a religious band at all despite their lyrics (the term god is very broad, god can mean many different things depending on the person), the lead singer uses the word 'spiritual' to describe himself. in the movie the lead actor sees earth from a view from space. a brief synopsis:
LOVE explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope A high-impact visual adventure, that resonates a common truth, that everyone has a story to tell and something even greater to leave behind.
this is an independent film, like their music. they got william eubank to direct it. their last album LOVE (released for free, still downloadable on their site), and LOVE part 2 that will be released with the movie as a bundle...a double album (soundtrack) and film to be released together as a package.
the movie will be showing august 10th only in 500 theaters...then will be released with the double album for purchase in the future
