...Of telling yourself your gonna take a break for some lengthy amount of time (3 months to a year) after you go to that next big rave/concert/event. But then you find out there's another big event going on a month or 2 later, and you feel compelled to roll at the event obviously. So you end up pushing off that break, and it almost never seems like your gonna get to it, cause there's always gonna be an event every month or 2 that your absolutely dyiingg to roll at. Lol I feel like I'm rambling, but can anybody else relate to this same problem?

Yeah all the time but it wouldn't even be for events, my friends would just ask me to roll and I couldn't resist. The best way I handled that was I made sure that I was busy that weekend so I didn't have the chance to roll.

Events are always going to happen. The way you think right now, you're never going to stop. Just don't go, or go and enjoy being with others who are rolling if that's your thing. Give them a better time.
Or, go on something else, that's not a big user of serotonin receptors(so no mushies!). Use LSD, or something.

It's stupid to do what you're doing. Make a plan and fucking stick to it, if you can't that's pretty sad, it's just MDMA.

I said, "Hey, you're not going to roll again till at least late summer" months ago. And I haven't. And if I do any time soon, it will still be at least a month away. Stop lieing to yourself, just stop rolling, it's not hard.

Go find another hobby. THere's gotta be some good sport around you...

Even though thizzalot says it in a mean way, he is right. Look MDMA is very fun but have you ever heard of anyone sucking dick for it? I haven't. Its a hard habit to break but it is possible. I did it and in general I have an addictive personality. You gotta see the brighter side of things.

It's an easy habbit to break, just think of all the negative things it gives you for that 1 night of fun. Thats what i do when i want to have a break or have huge gaps in between.

Just go to the events sober? I always go to events sober now. You don't NEED to roll at the event, You just WANT to. You don't need drugs to enjoy raves. If your actually into the music and vibe you shouldn't need drugs at all. Some of the best times I had at events were when I was sober. Why do you need to roll at every event anyway?

Ecstasy is not physically addictive , but it can be mentally. If you go off it for a while then just forget about it and it can be easy enough to take a break. But if you are surrounded by it then its difficult to give up so I would advise not to go anywhere you might be tempted for a while

Thanks for the tips guys, looks like I'm just gonna have to learn some self control.

No question, but have you ever thought about getting blazed out or having a few beers and going to just blow peoples minds with light shows? Get a glove set and practice, then when you go you will have a BLAST just seeing the others roll face as you light em up!

Going to events sober is very enjoyable. You are better able to listen to your body and take the time to rest, instead of dancing yourself into the ground. Not everybody at a rave is on drugs...many people enjoy the dancing/music.

Yeah, and I don't mind; that's why I chose to stop doing it at home/house parties. Only for the big events.

That's a great idea actually, because I love blazing and drinking too. And that might be a cool way to meet girls lol.

I think the majority have had this problem at some time though (Im sure I did for about 10 years). You can try going sober or instead of going to the next big event use the money you would spend for that weekend (new clothes, travel money, drug money, drinks, etc) on a treat for you and your bf/gf (not raving/pills).

There's always a reason to roll.

My boyfriend and I love EDM and socializing too much to avoid events where people are rolling- so we've made a point to NOT make EDM and nightlife about MDMA, and I think thats the trick.
