I have been off benzos(Xanax + Zopiclone(a "cousin" of Zolpidem(Ambien))) for 16 weeks. A war against time. Daily 1 hour-walks in the evening has helped me a lot, still does. That has become my non-medical way against my depression and anxiety. Anyway last Friday I tried 7,5 Zopiclone just to see where my tolerance at, got the usual side effects, everything but the Anxiety-effect. I know they are for sleeping but I use to take them an hour or two before bed to calm me down, watch a movie or read some and then sleep well and long anyway. I got all the effects but not the euphoria or the lowered anxiety, and at that moment it felt that I had been fighting for 4 months for NOTHING, and it still does. I have now got into a depressed state because of this and also a paranoid state where I think that the pill I took has now reset my withdrawal and these 4 months was for nothing. The other part of my mind tells me to think that one pill won't affect shit and keep going for the 5th month and they will work again sooner or later. The other part says they will never work on me again, im immune, and Im having thoughts about killing myself. Yeah, Im happy to not be addicted anymore, but a life without any form of drugs once in a while? Not much of a life to me, I have to admit.
Was hoping someone here could clear things up for me

Edit: I should also say that I was using these for a couple of years but never longer than 3-4 weeks straight, I always had a break for a couple of weeks. Also I have tried other benzos such as Valium, Flunitrazepam and also I was using some opiodes between December 2014-May 2015, they didnt work either before my break. The only thing I remember working was Alcohol. Dont know how it is now though... maybe I just need to try more Zopiclone like 15mg, but I dont want to do that.
