Another LSD vs 25i-nbome thread

Hey guys so I know a ton of these have already been posted, but I would love a couple quick answers and/or opinions on some recent experiences.

Over the last 3-4 years I've taken LSD on 20+ occasions. Always with the same effects: awesome body high like my consciousness is bursting out of my in all directions. Deep thoughts about the Universe and contemplating interesting subjects that are always difficult if not impossible to put in words but make sense in my head. The visuals are always the same, things look beautiful with a prismatic rainbow feel to everything. and ALWAYS either near the end of my peak or afterward things start to get 3d spirelling from my focal point or drishti, whatever you call it, alsways in the form of aztec ancient native americans spirelling outwards all from the center vision point. For reference I usually dose myself at 2-3 hits depending on the occasion.

Anyways so I just heard about this new designer drug called 25i-nbome people say its cheaper and has similar effects but isnt true lsd and you can overdose from it.

I've been getting some lsd from my friend for awhile now and I love it, I trip the same as I did when I was 18. I got a new batch same person and everything all my friends loved it but I only just got a chance to test it just the other week. Everything I get from him is blotter.

We went hiking to an abandoned sawmill 3 miles in the middle of some woods. I was feeling a little down that day, getting over a cold and sore throat, so I decided not to trip to hard and only ate 1.5 hits thinking I would just get a nice body high with minimal visuals.

It had a bitter taste that made my lip feel numb. But in thirty minutes I could feel it rolling into me. I thought I wouldn't trip very hard but boy was I wrong. I had tripped on 3 hits 4-6 months prior and the 1.5 I took seemed equivalent. A year be for that I had taken a microdot and I remember this as my best trip ever but the 1.5 I took replaced that. I had THE best trip of my life. The same body high I always get, the same visuals, the same deep thinking, and same 3d ancient native americans. We did yoga on a decomposizing log for over 3 hours. I felt like sunshine was exploding from my joints with zero anxiety(which what I usually get when I trip with people I don't know).

Thanks for baring with me while I got my story out, on to the actual point/questions:

I brought it to another friend who I consider very knowledgeable on the subject(more years of experience then I've been alive). He asked me if it had a bitter taste, I said yes, and he said it wasn't real lsd only 25i-nbome, because lsd blotter has no taste.

I found this odd because the trip I had contained the same qualities as all my previous trips on LSD, the same types of visuals and all the things I mentioned before.

So my question is are the experiences of LSD vs 25I-nbome the same or different? Was what I got 25i-nbome just because the bitter taste? Can LSD blotter have a bitter taste? Are there any other ways to tell these two apart?

Another relevant piece of info would be the same friend I got it from took 18 hits, for reasons I don't know, and survived. If 25i-nbome can cause overdose I feel 18 would have been enough.

Also I have taken some designer drugs in the past 2ci 2ce I find them completely different from LSD. This also was a very much spiritual trip, as I've done some research and people say that 25i-nbome has none

they are distinctly different but it's like fine food, unless you have the palette you're not going to know the difference. THE ONLY WAY to know for sure is to have it lab tested. Yes LSD blotter can have a bitter taste. There is no real way to tell. 25i-NBOMe only causes a small percentage of people to OD and die, your friend may very well have survived 18 hits of 25i, especially if they were only 500 mcg/blotter. I've survived doses higher than that but other people have died from what are suspected to be normal doses.

There's really no way you personally can tell the difference unless you have extensive psychedelic experience. 25i is notably shorter in duration, the visuals are different and the head space screams phenethylamine. Unless you know both drugs extremely well, it's nearly impossible to tell the difference. There are test kits for LSD out there, i suggest buying one and at least trying that out or better yet have it lab tested to know for sure, though that will cost you a fair amount of money.

i don't know how you measure spiritual but 25i is very psychedelic in its own way, no way to tell one from the other unless you test it.

25i just doesn't give me the head space that LSD gives me. LSD makes life feel very clear, and I feel very close to the world, and myself. 25i-NBOMe feels like LSD without the head space, it just feels almost sober with crazy hallucinations. The only thing I could really notice with 25i is that negative emotions on 25i were much stronger and I would easily get overwhelmed by it even at lower dosages.

Some people may find a NBOMe trip different from LSD, others may not. There's a reason 25I gets passed off as LSD sometimes.

25I opens up your senses mostly, and makes you laugh a lot
LSD opens up your mind which happens to control your senses anyway

some people are into it though so if you are really interested I would just try it because it is somewhat similiar, but lacking in certain aspects.

LSD blotter can have a bitter taste from the ink but the taste shouldn't be overbearing or strong. If there's a strong bitter taste it's likely another substance, some candidates include the NBOMe series (e.g. 25C-NBOMe, 25D-NBOMe, 25I-NBOMe etc), the DOx series (e.g. DOB, DOC, DOI) or things like Bromo-DragonFLY.

The fact you said it made your lip numb suggests an NBOMe to me, I've not heard of any other substances on blotter doing that, so your friend was likely right. The trip can be very similar in effects and duration, and many people find it hard to differentiate the substances they receive on blotter - while others more experienced with a variety of substances will have no problem telling the drugs apart.

18 hits is definitely way way way way into overdose range for the NBOMe series - I wouldn't suggest taking more than 1 hit of most NBOMes, and definitely not if you don't know the dosage on the hits, since they can cause some intense vasoconstriction and unlike LSD taking a few hits isn't just going to cause an intense trip but could also put you in hospital or kill you. The fact that he survived doesn't prove anything though, people have taken insane doses like 20mg of NBOMe series compounds and survive - they just got extremely lucky or consumed the substance in an inefficient manner that only resulted in them being exposed to a small amount of it.

We don't allow identification threads here though - for the reason that it's impossible for us to tell. So I'm going to close this. Unless you test the substance with a test kit and/or send it off for lab analysis we can't really tell you what it is, only offer wild speculation. I think it's quite plausible that it's an NBOMe series compound based on the numbing of the mouth - but that's the best I can say and speculation gets us nowhere. If you have any more and you're really curious you could send it off for testing.
