Amsterdam is legal?

My Wife and I are going to Amsterdam in the next 6 months. Is XTC really legal there? Or just not as strictly enforced. Can you buy it is a store?
What's the deal-E-o?
Help a Budd-E out.
 
i was there earlier this year. i asked around for x but they told me it's not really legal on pot and shrooms were. a few ppl sent me to certain stores that supposedly carried x but it was the herbal kind. i was travelling alone and was too paranoid to ask the salesman if they had any real x. i got approached a few times by some ppl on the street. but i didn't buy. i later met some locals there and we were gonna party and get some e but my train was leaving that nite so i didn't get any x in amsterdam.
 
E is not legal in Amsterdam but it is allot more prevalent than in the UK and certainly the US. It is not hard to buy in the street and you have 70% chance of scoring a decent pill, often for as little as $3/4.
However you will not find anywhere that stocks them.
 
I was in Amsterdam this summer, and E is definitely not legal there. The only thing they sell in stores is that herbal crap. Also, in the redlight district, all kinds of locals offer to sell speed, coke, and E. There is no way you should by from them. When you see these people, you will know what I mean. You'd be lucky if they sold you asprin an not rat poison in my opinion. But don't fret. Check out the local club scene. There was one club that was pretty cool. It was converted from an old cathedral complete with stained glass murals and all. That was pretty cool for me, clubbing in a church, especially since I went to Catholic school all the way through Junior High. However, the name of that club escapes me. Another cool club with a big E-scene was the Blue Buddah, and it was really easy to hook up there. Just look for the really fucked up people along the walls, and you'll know that your getting good E. Everyone is really cool, and I'm sure you'll get it pretty easy. Actaully, that club had one of the best vibes of anywhere in Europe. I strongly recommend the Blue Buddah, its near central Amsterdam. Oh yea, actually I think it was called Trance Buddah, not Blue Buddah. It did play some awesome trance too. And another thing, a lot of the clubs in Europe and Amsterdam in particular, might pull the old "Members only" bullshit. You probably wont have that problem, because your a couple, but generally clubs don't let you in unless you have girls with you. All you have to do is become members. i.e. graft the bouncer. Around $5 US per person is plenty, but for some reason you have to initiate the bribe. Good luck and have fun.
