Stimulants Amphetamine turning wet by itself

Hey guys,

I have a X quantity of amphetamine sulphate and it has been sitting for some time in a room temperature stash, and for some reason the originally DRY WHITE powder is turning into BROWN PASTE/WET form. How can this be possible? What can cause this and how do i stop this from happening?

Some dried paste is mixed with glucose/sucrose powder which when heated does melt/caramelise like sugar. But certainly not at room temperature.

It's hygroscopic which means it absorbs water from the air.

To prevent absorption of moisture, you must seal it in an airtight container.

Also it might have some kind of cut or impurity that reacts faster with water/moisture.

How long has it been sitting there?
