Misc Amoxicillin and Ethanol

Is it okay to drink alcoholic beverages while on amoxicillin as long as it doesn't contain yeast (i.e. beer), or should all alcoholic beverages be avoided to keep from making the anti-biotics from working? I currently don't have aninfection but was given them today because I'm having my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow. The oral surgeon just suggested I start taking it today to get it in my system before the proceedure.

Any constructive advice is appreciated.

Yes you should be fine, with beer as well.
There are actually only a few antibiotics that interact dangerously with alcohol and amoxicillin isn't one of them

I know it doesn't interact dangerously, I'm just don't want to waste them.

Drinkin on antibiotics will make you nauseous as fuck, or atleast in my experience....


Alcohol is bad for your body, on top of being sick or whatever...I advise laying off the alcohol Douglas...smoke some.weed instead

it's a myth that alcohol will decrease effectiveness of penicillin based antibiotics.

like laC said..the side effects such as nausea and other fun stuff like that, are what you'd worry
about..
