Hello ive been on ambien for over 2 months now, for the last month i would just skip the dose at night and take it at 6am right before i go to school, i know this is very bad for me but i cant stop 2moro i feel like at school i wont be fun to hang around with if i dont take it now i really want to take 2 because its not working anymore..... is there a tolerance for it? am i an addict? how can i make the tolerance go down?...

People develop dependence, tolerance, and addiction to ambien. For the record, it is not a benzo as I see that is the prefix you chose for the thread. It would be closest to a benzo, but technically isn't one.

You may not be an addict now, but you are definitely headed down that path. If you continue taking it daily, you will not be able to function properly without it, and you may not be able to sleep at night, even though you are taking it during the day.

Your best bet is to lower your dose for most days of the week, and then take the regular dose on select days when you want to feel the usual effects. Lowering the dose, alternating days, taking small breaks is the only way that your tolerance is not going to increase.

I wanted to add in that there is certainly a cross tolerance between benzos and ambien. When I took benzos regularly a few years ago, the ambien never worked, as it had before I started on the benzies.
