(answered) Alternative to Changing name ?

As you guys can see my name sucks but when I first came to Bluelight in 2007 all I wanted to do was seek advice on a drug overdose that left me disabled, it was freak accident and a very "UNLUCKY" one so I named myself Unlucky.

I never thought I was going to stay here but 4 years on I'm still here and I like this place and I want to discuss other issues besides my overdose and my name now seems so irrelevant and negative for this website...

I know we can't change names but am I allowed to scrap this account and start a new one? If so how do I close my account ? Unless you kind folk can find it in your hearts to make an exception on changing my name...just this once...*flashes puppy dog eyes"

I seem to remember its ok to abandon an account and use another one as long as you aren't using them at the same time.

Just to clarify, yes you can make a new account, but you have to completely abandon this one. Going back and forth between the two is what will get you in to trouble.
