All Good Festival back in Maryland June 14-15 2025; Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia

I was at harvest festival 2023 in Ithaca.
I skipped this year because that’s a terrible sight.

I forgot about the festivals thread.

Feel free to merge this with that senor moderateur

The Shining GIF

We have hotel festivals in these back parts.
I went to one and was like this the hotel out of the shining.
Doesnt your state have the most haunted abandoned asylums and prisons per capita too?

the last festival i might've been iirc was rothbury, the last year it was rothbury (now they call it the electric forest fest)... never been to allgood, haven't been to too many festivals, best two i've been to are shakori hills in north carolina and rothbury in michigan.

i always thought allgood was more oriented toward folk and bluegrass, no? kinda like shakori hills was, very folksy and shit and i loved it lol

nice, yeah as far as big festivals go, i've just been to allgood twice, and bonnaroo once. definitely have wanted to go to electric forest but never took the trip.

yeah it's heavy on the jam band stuff, grateful dead and all that. in more recent years they started having more edm... i saw bassnectar there... almost 15 years ago.... christ lol where'd the time go

Would definitely like to go to this. Not sure if both days are worth it or just 1 day.
hell yeah, it's definitely a fun time. i've been to merriweather a bunch, it seems like it'd be too small of a venue, and in such a different area than the mountain in wv... will be interesting to see how it translates, hopefully it's chill. being immediately outside of baltimore in the suburbs, i imagine it could also just be a totally different crowd.

glad you joined as mod though, nsadd hasn't seen a ton of proper mods since i joined 5 years ago, good to see someone take initiative.

btw i tried to restart that social thread when i started too, but it didn't go anywhere lol the sub forum is just pretty low traffic these days, so i ended up just merging it and leaving it as is.

hopefully yours goes better

Thanks. I think Merriweather is big enough, I went to Virgin Freefest there a while back and they'd done a good job setting up multiple stages/areas that didn't feel too cramped. I really should buy my tickets, I know I've missed the early big pricing now. I potentially had a work conflict though and wanted to make sure I'd actually be able to go before I bought a ticket.

I've always been surprised that NSADD doesn't have more traffic in general. Maybe because so much location-specific info isn't allowed, but it still seems like there'd be more to discuss... the European forum has always been way more active.

oh sick, yeah i went to virgin fest at pimlico in 2006, saw rhcp, the killers, the who, it was pretty fun.

yeah, i haven't got tickets yet. i really just started making some money again and so have a bunch of things I gotta catch up on, a couple hundred dollar festival ticket is a lot harder to justify. i've been looking at a lot more lowkey one off events for this summer

theres a drum & bass event in dc next weekend on the 15th im probably gonna go to. it'll be nice to get out for sure

yeah, it definitely has been. i mean i think the main factor there is that the regulars in eadd basically stuck around, most of the people that posted here heavily in the past dont use the site as much anymore

I guess that means we need to cultivate some new regulars lol
