Totally understand this can be dagherous and kill you. Lets say i drink 8 stella baring mind im a heavy drinke, 8 cans are nothing to me

what i then been doing lately is taking 1 or 2 lorazepam afterwards to sleep. Im now on the 2.5mg.

Could this be considered dangerous ?
 
It is considered dangerous, absolutely no one who considers themselves a heavy drinker should be taking lorazepam to sleep.

I don't understand how you open with "totally understand this can be dagherous and kill you" and finish with "could this be considered dangerous?"
 
This is very dangerous, and even if it doesn't kill you then the Lorazepam will just raise your GABA tolerance making you enjoy your beers less and less as time goes on. Take half that dose of Lorazepam, and take 12.5-25mg of Doxylamine with it, 1mg Melatonin on top of that if you really want, and you'll sleep just fine. :)

Also, if you're drinking every day then you're definitely seriously Magnesium deficient, and we need Mg for proper sleep. Take 300-600mg chelated Magnesium before bed, it will help so much that you probably won't even need the Lorazepam.
 
Besides floorcorpse syndrome (FcS) it can also cause you to black out for extended lengths of time, which more often then not results in arrest, and or public humiliation.
 
The combination is most definitely dangerous, and perhaps it should be brought to your attention that even if you are a heavy drinker, the lethal dose of alcohol remains about the same. Even if you can "handle" a large amount of alcohol, it would take about the same amount of alcohol to kill you as it would from the first time you took a drink. Alcohol poisoning is very real, and if you are adding benzos to your alcohol, the amount to do you in is even less due to the GABAergic synergy of alcohol and benzos. Seriously, be careful.

I'm pretty sure most people die from respiratory depression in alcohol overdoses. I know some hardcore alcoholics in the TDS alcoholism thread can put away 45-55 units of vodka in a night, I shit you not.

Fire&Water, bad advice, man. Are you seriously recommending IPA (mmmmmm)/other ale with a 7-8% alcohol content? Then he would surely overdose if he was already on the respiratory depression fence with the Stella.

I am aware that respiratory depression is usually the cause of death in true alcohol overdoses, not including deaths caused by complications of alcohol intoxication (e.g. asphyxiation on vomit). Perhaps you misunderstood my post. I was simply trying to indicate that the LD50 of alcohol does not usually increase that much with tolerance as is the case with barbiturates, for example. Adding benzos to an ever-increasing alcohol consumption is only making things more dangerous, and bringing down that amount of alcohol that would prove lethal.

Stella Artois should be called Corona light w/o the skunky flavor (wheres the barley, wheres the hops) ?? If the bottle wasnt green it would be skunky also...

This^ Double depressant dosing is never a great idea, and IMO much more dangerous than doubling stims. Mainly because depressants drop awareness and slow breathing at a rate at which you wont realize it's to late before it's too late. Stim's on the other hand, while potentially as fatal, still increase awareness and can even cause panic attacks leading to a call to the hospital, which is totally convenient as your going into cardiac arrest! :)

i'm an alcoholic (sounds like fuckin AA) and i'm trying to quit, which i'm barely managing. i've often taken benzos together with large amounts of booze, got anterograde amnesia and did things that are totally our of character and i regret to this day. i have both a heavy tolerance to alcohol (drank about a liter of vodka a day in the height of my addiction) and benzos (had a phase were i ate rohypnol like candy) and really, it's a surefire way to really fuck up your life.
benzos and alcohol are a devilish combination and should be avoided like the plague. alcoholism is a horrible addiction, and so fucking hard to quit. the only reason i have a modicum of control over my drinking at the moment is because i have enough other medication to deal with the withdrawal. i have benzos at my disposal but i'm being as careful as my addictive personality allows not to exchange my addiction to alcohol with an addiction to benzos. because that can happen extremely fucking fast. yet the craving for alcohol is almost constant and every time i think about buying a bottle of vodka i have to remind myself of how thoroughly and irrevocably it has damaged my life and my health.

You need to switch to at the very fucking minimum, filtered cigarettes. This isn't the right place to tell you I don't even know if you'll see this but FWIW.
