Well I haven't been drinking much, I took a two day break after a 3 day binge, but I got a new 5th that I'm planning on drinking til it's gone
You might get a hangover from killing a 5th, depending on what your tolerance is like, but you're not going to go into withdrawals.
i went through alcohol withdrawals once, after a period of fairly heavy drinking for two months. But keep in mind that this was daily drinking, and often drinking throughout the entire day, stopping only to sleep. I found that once physical dependence on alcohol developed, I started getting extremely anxious and a bit depressed when not drinking. As soon as I had even a couple of sips of beer or wine, these feelings started to dissipate.
Once I stopped drinking altogether and went through the withdrawals, I had the following symptoms:
-Terrible insomnia (I didn't sleep for about 4 days)
-Stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea (but other GI problems could occur, too)
-Shaking, mainly a feeling of RLS but I had some tremors of the hand as well
-Even more anxiety and depression, almost to the point of paranoia
And of course, the longer your drinking run is, the worse the withdrawals will be, to the point where they really can kill you. However, that type of addiction generally takes years of daily drinking to develop.
As long as you're taking some days off, you probably won't develop a physical dependence, but it certainly won't be healthy for your body or for your emotional or mental state, either. I know its a cliche that drinking kills your brain cells, but it really does. I was noticeably dumber after a few weeks of drinking; not only forgetting things I had told people and repeating stories often, but also I began to have trouble remembering words and recalling many things from my declarative (straight-up facts) and episodic (life events) memories.
