Id like to say something to anyone coming down on any substances (particullarly uppers) that alot of other BL's never seem to say, due to whatever circumstances, but I find that alcohol is one of the best cures for a comedown on anything.

Many, many people do not have access to benzos or opiates, which are admittingly better for comedowns, but again alot of people do not have access and if your feeling miserable I honestly advise to dip into the bottle and drink up (after getting some food and sleep of course...)

I can tell you countless amounts of stories where alcohol has helped me with comedowns; whether it be coming back from raves doing lots of mdma/lsd, feeling miserable because you have been up all night dancing and the mdma comedown is terrible (and lsd comedown is somewhat bad), and cant tell you how many times me and some friends have dipped into a bottle and had an absolute amazing expierience, and completely forgetting the comedown. This sometimes results in passing out, and actually getting sleep as well (although it wont be the best sleep, im aware of that), and I just advise most people out there who are suffering from a comedown, and can get access to alcohol, drink up! It may be a giant helper, as someone who has expierienced horrible comedowns before.

As a side note: im currently coming down off 60mg adderall, which really isnt the biggest dose in the world (ive done much more) but to alot of people it would be, and ive dipped into some vodka, and feel great. I actually have some xanax available, about 3mgs, but the alcohol has helped me feel energized (along with some green tea) and im ready to go out with my friends and have a great time.

A couple hours ago I was feeling the usual addy comedown, the depressed and not so happy attitude, but alcohol has completely taken that away, energized me, and has saved me enough for a good night. Its saved me PLENTY of times.

Just thought id throw it out there....i never see anyone suggesting alcohol to people who are suffering with terrible comedowns, and I dont know why. while I do understan health reasons, keep in mind your suggesting benzos and opiates, which are both ADDICTING.

Just a thought :)

Also I fine alcohol to have somewhat of a different "buzz" if you will when coming down off substances...I tend to get very clear headed and good feeling, instead of the sluggish, tired feeling you sometimes feel of alcohol.

I mean seriously, as buzzed as I am right now, i most likely would have had many more errors in my spelling as I usually do. I feel like a million bucks, and hope this advice helps anyone who is in sheer hell from a nasty comedown. Been there many times, and I want to reach out to anyone who needs some kind of help.

I heavily prefer benzos to ethanol for many different reasons. One of which is the fact that ethanol has a nasty comedown itself, and benzos like temazepam always leave me feeling refreshed the next morning.

If you don't have any benzos then alcohol can be a life saver. Its took the edge of many a stim comedown for me. Benzos would be my first choose though as booze can just prolong the agony.

My ex was always I amazed I wasn't as sick as he was, but that was because I would wake up and immediatley have a drink.. while he lied in bed sweating and shaking.. I was fine..

When I try to use alcohol to come off of adderall it just makes my head hurt worse. Weed works best for me if i cant find any valium, combining the two works wonders. 40mgs with a blunt and I forget I was ever speeding.

Whenever I do blow I have a little procedure to ease the comedown. Adderall doesn't crash me too hard bc I only ever take 10mg IR at a time, but I'm sure this would help as well.

Anyway, if you have no benzos or opiates, what I do(assuming you have weed) is smoke a nice bowl about 30-45 after last dose and keep packing them. I find that Benadryl (or any generic, just look for Diphenhydramine), along with the pot if u have helps me calm down pretty quickly.

If you have no weed, drink a few beers, shot of whiskey, wine w/e, get in comfy clothes, head on to youjizz dot com or w.e your preferred streaming porn site is and open EVERY video you see that remotely interests you in a new tab. I find that having something mentally/visually stimulating(not like CNS stimulant) to distract you helps tremendously. Seriously, go to pornhub, open every video on the front page in a new tab.

By the time you watch them all and do what you gotta do, you will be ALOT more relaxed and most like past the worst of the crash.

I do this EVERY time I do coke. Bout to start right now ;)

But yeah, benzos or barbs really are the best alternative. DO NOT TAKE AMBIEN, i did twice and both times was basically tripping out or dreaming while still awake. Enjoyable for some, but not when it's 7am and u want sleep.

^^^^ thats some of the funniest adivce ive ever read. Ill be sure to have porn hub available next time im crashing hard ;)

I am a big weed smoker, I smoke whenever I can on some very medical shit as I have my card, but coming off of addys and blazing isnt my favorite thing to do as sometimes my mind races (if i smoke i make sure its pure indica). Its one of the only combos that I find weed doesnt mix well for me....and its pretty much the only combo I can think of that it doesnt mix well.

I totally agree if I can find benzos and again I am saying that benzos are BETTER if you can get them, and I find if I take some with some weed ill feel absolutely amazing, but alcohol is still a great alternative if your coming down hard. It takes the edge off and I had a great night last night thanks to it. Totally got energy and talkative when I starrted to come down off my 60mg addy high. Woke up feeling great this morning as well.

I've used alcohol to ease comedowns many times, with varying results.

Firstly, try & get a bit of sleep, even if its only an hr or two. Then have your drink. Personal preference on my part perhaps, but....

Ideal.
Wine (well chilled if white), and not a really cheap bottle.
Gin & tonic
Guiness
Sweet sherry.

avoid.
Lager (beer in general cept guinness)
Cider.
straight spirits.

Depends on the individual & the amount drunk.

I for instance have a drink most days anyway, I used to drink far too much but now have it under control & enjoy a G&T or a few glasses of red wine in the evenings.

and to drink enough to pass out leaves me badly hungover from both the alcohol and the speed.

:\No-one is recommending doing that...not me anyway.

Ugh, Alcohol makes everything worse for me, my body HATES it. My least favorite drug by a long shot.

Everybody is different though : )

Alcohol works great for me for comedowns, also on a side note I find that having a stim whilst on a night out drinking does something to my system and I don't have the hangover that I would usually get the next day without having the stim. this is even the case for coke which is out of your system long before the hangover starts. maybe some kind of chemical reaction? coetylene or something i've heard of.

Also I fine alcohol to have somewhat of a different "buzz" if you will when coming down off substances...I tend to get very clear headed and good feeling, instead of the sluggish, tired feeling you sometimes feel of alcohol.

I thought I was the only one that felt like this.

Alcohol really seems to lift my spirits on an amphetamine comedown. Not getting drunk, that makes it worse. A couple beers really helps me relax.

Its far form being a 'cure' though

I can't say that I've used alcohol for any comedowns. Then again, I am prescribed klonopin, so I have benzos on hand at all times. I find benzos to be the best remedy for any sort of comedown. Also, pot is great for hangovers, it wipes out the nausea completely...although benzos seem to do that as well, without the high. I find that pot tends to make my mind race sometimes, whereas benzos never do.

Alcohol is great for after tripping out, I think. Especially after real hard and emotionally taxing trips, it puts my mind at ease and ends all the self-reflection.
No hair of the dog for me.

What "harsh" comedown off MDMA are you talking about? Ive dropped E god knows how many times and when I get home from the rave I feel a little sad that it's all over, but that's about it.

In fact the next day is infamous for the E "afterglow," which feels great and is essentially part of the comedown process.

Now, if you're one of those E-tards who takes 5 or 6 pills in a night, it might be a different story. But as I recently explained in a lengthy post, there is really no reason on earth why anyone needs to take more than 3 hits in a nignt, and in most cases even that is one pill too many.

If you're taking more than 2 or 3 E's a night then you have very little understanding of how the drug works. It has been proven time and time again that excessive amounts of E does not make for a better high; all it does is magnify side effects and make the comedown harsher.

Simply put, if you need something to help you come down off E, you're probably taking too much E.

I suppose it depends on the person on the efficiency of this. I personally enjoy alcohol seldomly when coming down from some sort of stimulatory substance, say cocaine or MDMA. However, I've noticed the "sloppy" feeling from alcohol is enhanced, plus sometimes I experience increased nausea than alcohol alone.

I much prefer benzos or opiates for coming down than alcohol, simply because they don't dehydrate you nearly as much and don't have a comedown feeling as well nor a real hangover (ive heard from some people there are for them personally, but that it is simply grogginess or a slight headache, but neither compare to powerful alcohol hangover). It also provides with an easier comedown than alcohol provides, and I just feel nice and relaxed albeit slightly braindead as well, but very managable.
