Misc Alcohol from household products

My parents finally wised up and hid all their booze from me, so I am stuck with other ways of getting drunk. I've found two methods that work really well and I was wondering if anyone else has heard of anyone doing this or has done it themselves.

Anyways, the first way I got drunk without booze is by drinking mouthwash with Ethly Alcohol in it - Ethly Alcohol is a longer name for Ethanol. I found that if you drink 500ML of mouthwash it gets your pretty drunk - for me that is - and it's not harmful in anyway. They say on the bottles "Call poison control if more than a mouth full is swallowed." Well I've done this a lot, and I've never had any issues. So I'm pretty sure that they just put that on there to deture people from drinking it. However, It's very possible that I'm wrong. So if anyone here could shed some light of that, that would be great!

Anyways, the second way I found - that works a lot better than mouthwash - is to distill hand sanitizer. This separates the Alcohol from the rest of ingredients in the hand sanitizer so you can filter it, and drink it. Because hand sanitizer is usually around 125 proof, you can make a 120 proof shot of alcohol that gets you extremely drunk for around 3 hours.

To distill hand sanitizer - take 4oz of hand sanitizer and add 1tsp of salt and mix it in. The hand sanitizer will quickly turn into a liquid. Once this happens, wait about 10 minuets and let the particles in the separated alcohol float to the bottom. Once this happens, take a cut and some sort of cloth and filter the alcohol through it into the cup. I found that a tee-shirt works really well for filtering the hand sanitizer because of it's extremely tiny holes in the cloth.

Anyways, once you filter it, it's ready to drink. Keep in mind that this alcohol is one of the worst things I've ever tasted. I suggest you mix it with some orange juice or something before you drinking.

Fuck no, don't you dare attempt this. Stay sober, you sound young with all your days to get high in front of you! Drinking like this is a sure way to cause liver failure, and then you won't be able to take drugs ever, and you will not qualify for liver transplant as they usually don't give people who shot their liver out with drugs a new liver and give the liver to someone who needs it.

The process you describe is not distillation. Real distillation involves a still or retort, you'd heat the mixture and collect the 95% ehanol that boils off in a chilled reciever.

Don't drink mouthwash or hand sanitizer. Sure, it contains alcohol, but in some cases that alcohol can be denatured (contain toxins/bittering agents) or in the case of personal hygeine products, the alcohol will likely carry e.g. antibacterial compounds with it that you should not ingest in large quantity.

If you are too young to legally purchase alcohol, please for the love of God do not drink mouthwash!

Buy some turboyeast on ebay, mix with water and sugar and you'll have alcohol (do note it's going to taste disgusting)

Like sekio said, there are many other poisonous compounds in mouthwash. And your liver has the job of processing all poisons entered int the body. Usually, swallowing a little isnt harmful because your liver can take care of the problem, but when you are drinking bottles, your liver is put in great strain to metabolize all the harmful compounds and will eventually just give out. Not to mention alcohol alone is terrible for your liver...

This is not educational, this is dangerous! It's a problem when you give people an idea to do something that you say is safe, but in aftuallity is dangerous

No way you need to be doing this or encourgeing others to drink mouthwash or hand sanitizer or ethyl Alcohol!!! There is no safe way to drink any of these things you mentioned.

Actually, in all honesty, if your mouthwash or hand sanitizer contained ethanol and *only* drinking-grade ethanol, plus other foodsafe substances (color, water, thickener for hand sanitizer), it would be safe albeit unappetizing to consume. However, in reality, the companies realize the potential for misuse and so do their very best to make drinking hand sanitizer not wirth the while, either by including additional denaturing compounds as stated above (if you ever see SD Alcohol - that's Specially Denatured alcohol, the US has a whole fucking list of alcohol denaturants) or by puting in compounds (like strong scents, flavours, or bacteriacides) that would make it too irritating to consume with regularity.

Especially if you are consuming e.g. triclosan with regularity, it may not neccesarily damage your liver, but it is not good for your body in any way. And having a reputation as 'that kid who drinks mouthwash all the time' is not good.

For God's Sake... There is no safe way to consume mouthwash to get drunk! The shit they put in there to denature it will seriously fuck you up and not in the good way.

Please, nobody read this and think this is a viable option if you can't get alcohol.

If you're under 21 or whatever the drinking age in your country, do what we all did and find somebody to buy your booze for you!
