Benzos Alcohol + Clonzapam Long Story

Okay so I was on .5 mg klonopin for six years. By the third year it was as needed. So basically .5 a couple times a day.

Now I always drank heavily. I could even hold liquor better than other people. My peak college, jungle juice, keg phase i was taking several .5 clonzapams.

I never ran into trouble at all. Then I quit klonopin for four years, and just recently I went back on 1 clonzapaman twice a day.

The doctor also gave me gabapentin and zyprexa. he said you can drink on gabapentin. However, he said not to drink on the clonzapam.

This is putting a big wrench in my schedule where I drink a lot, and also enjoy it during meals. I tried a couple and beers and I haven't passed out.

However, the advice has really frightened me and made me doubt 5 or 6 years of vodka and everclear on clonzapam.

Sorry for the length and maybe this is in the wrong forum mods.

TLDR: I used to take benzos and drink with no problems. Now prescribed a second time clonzapam with strict directions to abstain from alcohol, and a few beers is having more of an effect than expected. This is worrying me. Curious of safety vs placebo. Etc.

Thanks in advance.

Gabapentin and clonzapam both potentate alcohol and increase chances of blacking out and doing dumb shit. Since you quite tolerant you could savely do it just keep the doses low.

The reason that it's effecting you more than before is because you take gabapentin as well, if you are taking all three.
