Al Pacino is... Napoleon?

With regard to Al Pacino making bad career moves - it's what he does. He simply isn't afraid to risk his legacy if he takes a liking to the script. I was watching the commentary for Devil's Advocate and the director lauded Pacino for his balls when it comes to taking very risky scripts. And Pacino has made some total crap relative to what he is capable of. There are a bunch of essentially straight to DVD releases out there with his name stamped on them. From an objective standpoint, though, it always always always pisses me off when you get an English speaker to play a historical foreign role. Always.

Yeah, but then again some English speaking actors could pull it off. Those who can speak French or at the very least pulling off a convincing accent. The only accent Pacino has ever done, that I'm aware of, is the cuban accent in Scarface.

Napoleon died at 51 years old (and like many people he did most of his interesting stuff before dying). Pacino will be 70 next year. Oscar-winning make-up?
