Does anyone know how long of a piece of the root you are supposed to chew? I can't really do the powder or cut root method since I do not have a mortar and pestle yet.
 
Can you weigh it out and make a tea from it? I saw a trip/experience report on erowid where someone did that. I've never used it, and don't want to but there should be a way to contact whoever you procured it from and they should know how much you should chew or make a tea out of.
 
If the person you got it from wont say/doesn't know, sometimes your local apothecaries might be able to say (although some are super paranoid and won't help you if you say the wrong thing).
