I am relatively new to the site but I have extensive knowledge (note: knowledge not experience) of drugs and drug use.

I however have never done drugs before. Next weekend my friend and I will be trying pot for the first time.

What I am getting is chronic (which I have heard is good quality weed). My "guy" told me that there are 5 levels of chronic quality, and this one is a two. It is neon green with orange hairs on it.

I am wondering, as a first time smoker, just for some general advice about how to handle my first time.

Also I am quite interested to find out how many of you got high your first time (I've heard not many people have).

Thank you

My first time, I wasn't really caring about the quality of the bud I was getting, I was just looking to try something new.

I was 15 when I tried it for the first time, I had never smoke a cigarette or anything before so I didn't know how to inhale the smoke correctly, so I didn't got really high. But if you know how to smoke, you should get high :)

Have fun and there's no need to panic while your high, you don't want to have panic or anxiety attacks.

I don't really care about the quality either, but it's nice to know what I'm getting you know?

thanks though. and I have smoked cigarettes before, so as far as technique goes, i'm pretty experienced in inhalation.

honestly, only take one puff, wait 20 minutes and see how you go from there.
marijuana is quite strong and can be a bit overwhelming if your not used to it.

if it is in fact chronic then this will be all you need on your first time. sometimes people get too high and get paranoid/anxious.

Don't be dissapointed though, if you don;t feel much. For many people marijuana doesnt work on the first time.

Learn how to inhale and toke and hold in your hits.

It's not like smoking tobacco where you inhale and then exhale, but you inhale herb and hold it in for a few secs and then exhale.

Do what drscience said by just taking a hit and seeing how it effects you and waiting for awhile before you smoke more. If you are getting good herb there's no need to smoke more especially if you have never done it before.

thanks! i'll definitely try this. i'll post back after next weekend and report on what happened.

You should - otherwise you'll be sold all sorts of crap which won't do the job and/or leave you feeling awful!

I got super high the first time I tried weed, because I was with a very experienced friend who told me exactly what to do. Aaah, the good old days 8)
And a good tip - before smoking ensure you have all the essentials close to you so you don't have to move as much (cos believe me, moving to do stuff while high is a mission and a half). Lots of food to munch on, good music and a drink to sort out a dry mouth.
Have fun <3

Oh dont cough into the bong, i got spray with ember to the face when i was trying to teach a mate to smoke. double insult burnt and wasted weed.

Enjoy it. And remember that good weed will be to strong for you till you get a tolerance and bearing with the substance.

My "guy" told me that there are 5 levels of chronic quality, and this one is a two.

No offense but your 'guy' is full of shit. You can't base the quality of marijuana on some secret black market rating out of five - there's no such thing.

For the advice - Make sure you take big enough hoots, and make sure you're actually inhaling them. Some beginner smokers don't know how to inhale the smoke properly thus resulting in being alot less high then if you were actually inhaling them. THC also takes time to absorb, so holding them in will get you alot more higher than exhaling too quickly/coughing up your hoot. However since you're a first time smoker i doubt you'll even need to hold your hoots in as you'll more than likely already be baked off your peak.

Have fun :)

haha sounds like some good one-hitter-quitter... just have fun man, and don't put yourself in a situation where you'll have to deal with parents!
my friend and i are going to have to sneak out of my house, so it's gonna be a matter of getting out of range of parents you know?

14. pretty young and my mom doesn't trust me already so i've got to be careful. she's not going to be home next weekend. i'm staying with her boyfriend, so it should be easier to slip by him.

Idk if you already smoked or not, but my only advice would be to take it nice and slow.. Take one big hit, hold it in for a few seconds, then wait at least 3-5 minutes before going back for more. You can always smoke more but you can't take back what you have already done.

Outside of that try to be in a comfortable/relaxed environment, keep a positive mindset, and don't expect anything. Just let it happen and see how you like it.

Good luck man, your new life as a pot-smoker has just begun :)

Your "guy" is wrong and feeding you bullshit. I'm guessing you do not really have extensive knowledge of drugs or drug use. Chronic means different things depending on what coast you are on. East coast, it means cocaine and weed mixed, west coast, it means good trees, perhaps hydro.

A lot of people do not get high the first time they smoke because they do not inhale correctly. My advice is to make sure you are inhaling correctly and enjoy the ride. If you have to ask "am I high?" then you probably are not.

well yeah i mean i don't want shwag, but other than that since it's my first time, i'm not really looking for any super high quality shit.

i had schwaggy my first time and my mind got blown to epic proportions. the first time it all depends on your body, ive seen someone smoke a fat kush joint their first time and not feel a thing.
