Sorry if there's a thread already dedicated to this, which there probably is, as this is something that I've heard quote a lot. Anyway, are the chemicals related to psychedelics, not just including LSD, (ie shrooms, any research chemical, etc) stored in the brain or spinal cord? In this way, can the leftover chemicals cause flashbacks?
I have heard that this can happen even with only one dose. Perhaps only with chronic use?

You can receive flashbacks but it has nothing to do with storage / buildup in the body. Then again you can have flashbacks from any stressful point in your life such as being on a battle field. My guess is that if you take a massive dose and trip to the point your body is extremely stressed it will cause minor flashbacks in the future. I have had these tiny flashbacks but it could very well just be a daydream as I am notorious for randomly zoning out from reality at any time.

Nope, none of these chemicals get stored in the body; they get metabolized and excreted like everything else.

Flashbacks are simply caused by reliving a vivid memory. I often get flashbacks to memories of childhood and relive them. It ha nothing to do with drugs. Sometimes a flashback can be a reliving of a state felt under a drug though.

Here's our flashbacks thread for more info on the topic.
